I've been wanting to get away from using plastic in the microwave, and this glass splatter cover is the perfect solution. It works exactly as described, keeping my microwave completely clean while heating food evenly thanks to the smart vent design. I love that I don't have to worry about chemicals leaching into our food. It's sturdy, easy to see through, and cleans up beautifully in the dishwasher. As others might mention, it does have some weight to it, but that's expected for a quality piece of glass. For me, the heft is a sign of durability and it's a very small trade-off for the peace of mind of not using plastic. The handle is sturdy and makes it easy to lift. Highly recommended!

We wanted to get rid of our “plastic”microwave cover and are happy with this nice glass one. It is definitely heavier but we feel it is best to use glass. Large enough to cover most of our food. Easy to clean

Works as intended. Heavy like everyone stated. Hopefully the handle holds up- so far it’s great. However, this does not fit over my Corelle plates. I have to try to balance it on the very edges which generally slips to one side sometimes dipping into food. Better than nothing but wish it was the tiniest bit larger round. Also not very high, which is good for placing over things and I can still rest it on top of my soup mug and the bottom edge is raised from the tray but still nicely covers the mug from splatters.

So, after reading about plastic micro particles shedding in the microwave after being heated... I decided it was time to get rid of my plastic spatter cover. I have to ask why you can't find a Made in USA version of these rather expensive glass spatter covers (Anchor Hocking, are you listening?) -- we're all left to purchase what's available on the market at this point in time. That brings me to this glass microwave spatter cover. Be aware that it's all glass -- thick enough not to easily break, and it's not light. There are nice little touches such as small ventilation holes to allow steam to escape, and a silicone handle that stays cool when the cover heats up from whatever it's covering. Also, there is even the thoughtful use of a ceramic washer/screw that connects into the top silicone handle. If they used plastic, then obviously you'd have heated up plastic over your food... which is what you were likely trying to avoid in the first place. So, they use ceramic here.

Good quality. It fits well with 10-inch plates. It also has a good height and it is not heavy. I am happy with the product.

Works well. Yes, its heavy and the handle seems like it will eventually loosen, its a plastic screw. But it is doing what I purchased it for very well. I'm just careful not to rely on the handle to move it around.

Ended up ordering two by accident, sent one back. The vents on this are sparse and really small—this would be so much better with more/larger vents. It is bulky. I saved this for use for covering food when serving buffet style to keep flies off food. For me, it isn’t as practical as hoped in my microwave.

Slightly heavy but worth it for sturdy no-plastic cover. Soft handle is great and remains cool. Use it daily

This is the BEST purchase that I have made this year! I feel so much safer switching to a glass cover. I’m glad it arrived very well packaged, no damage. The only cons are that you have to screw in the silicone knob. But I’m glad that the screw is ceramic. Also, it’s a bit heavy for me since my microwave is at a higher level. But I’ll get used to it. At last, it is wild to pay $60 for a microwave cover but it’s worth it and hopefully it will last a long time.

Nachdem es im Zweiten Anlauf heil angekommen ist. Echt top, viel besser zu reinigen als die Kunststoffhauben.
