Hello, is this safe to use on plastic and rubber items?

We have used it on both with great success , however you must thoroughly passivate (rinse off) with water as it can leave a small tide mark upon drying. We use this in our parts washer and it is fantastic on greasy oily parts.

how does this cleaner smell

No real noticeable smell. Very slight odour , not unpleasant chemical smell.
