All 13 Season One episodes, newly restored in 4K! He’s ingenious, he’s phobic, he’s obsessive-compulsive. Emmy and Golden Globe Award winner Tony Shalhoub (Barton Fink, TV’s The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel) is sublimely hysterical in Monk, the show that critics call “fresh, exciting and utterly original” (Chicago Tribune). Adrian Monk’s offbeat antics have made him unfit for duty but he’s back as a San Francisco police consultant to help out on their most baffling cases. The brilliant but neurotic Monk is now fighting crime as well as his abnormal fears of germs, heights, crowds, and virtually everything else known to man in “the best detective show to come along in decades” (New York Post). Co-starring Bitty Schram (A League of Their Own), Jason Gray-Stanford (A Beautiful Mind), and Ted Levine (The Silence of the Lambs) with guest stars Brooke Adams, Gail O’Grady, Adam Arkin, Tim Daly, Garry Marshall, Kevin Nealon, Willie Nelson, Amy Sedaris, Stephen McHattie, and many more.Special Features:• All 13 Season One Episodes – Newly Restored in 4K• Mr. Monk and His Origins: Featurette with Writer/Executive Producer Andy Breckman, Producer David Hoberman and Actor Tony Shalhoub (4:18)• Mr. Monk and His O.C.D.: Featurette with Actor Tony Shalhoub, Actress Bitty Schram, Writer/Executive Producer Andy Breckman, Producer David Hoberman and Director Dean Parisot (2:59)• Mr. Monk and His Fellow Sufferers: Featurette with Actor Ted Levine, Actress Bitty Schram, Writer/Executive Producer Andy Breckman, Producer David Hoberman and Director Dean Parisot (4:14)• Mr. Monk and His Emmy Award Winning Performance: Featurette with Actor Tony Shalhoub, Actor Ted Levine, Actress Bitty Schram, Writer/Executive Producer Andy Breckman, Producer David Hoberman and Director Dean Parisot (3:54)• Mr. Monk and His Partners in Crime: Featurette with Actor Tony Shalhoub, Actor Ted Levine, Actress Bitty Schram, Writer/Executive Producer Andy Breckman, Producer David Hoberman and Director Dean Parisot (4:35)• Optional English Subtitles

Monk is a fun show.
Monk is a fun show. When it was on TV I would catch it every now and then. I had streaming services for a while and have cable. It's nice to have a physical copy so I can watch it when I want without ads.Season one is fine. The following seasons the show gets a lot better. Obviously you need to like this kind of show.

Mr. Monk comes to Bluray!
That fact that The Mandolorian, Psych and Monk are all coming to Bluray in the same year, back-to-back, is a dream come true, and it's coming just in time for Mr. Monks Last Case. As a physical media collector, I've been bummed that many of my favorite shows, new and old, have been limited to lower quality physical releases, or to streaming exclusively, so this is a set that I definitely will not miss.Thank you Kino Lorber for releasing this season on Bluray. I hope it does well enough for us to get all 8 seasons!

So many audio glitches and often faces too dark to make out features
I do not believe these review numbers are accurate. I'm the first reviewer in what, 2 years since season 1 came out? I'm on disc 2...Several shows have been far too dark. There are people in the room, they all look black, but they aren't. The too darkness pervades all of some shows. But some parts can still be very white. How does Kino Lorber pull this off on so many movies and shows. Columbo = too dark, Suspect Zero = too dark, many that I've bought. It's an odd and lame approach they insist on. I like seeing the people. I'm watching Monk: Carnival...lots of light shirts, but the faces in particular are much too dark. More than the DVDs, more than what they look like in inet reality.'Carnival' audio glitches out terribly, particularly when they are at the carnival, but throughout the show. It's terrible and unacceptable for me. Still watching, still glitching out audio. Unacceptable.I'm returning season 1. Not sure about S2 yet. Way overpriced anyway. And i don't like the gimmick of selling a couple seasons in the lower $20s, but all the rest $3-6 more. That adds up and is actually insulting. Not a fan of Kino Lorber.

Be aware - French language ONLY
Great - if you understand FRENCH. It's hard to understand why the english track isn't included for a north american show.

Kino Lober!!
Thank you Kino Lober! I am disappointed this is a 4K transfer but not on a 4K disc. If you’re going to spend the time doing a 4K restoration, please release a 4K blu ray.Either way, thank you Kino Lober for keeping physical media alive!! I love Monk! Please release the whole series!
