I love this pack for day hiking. It would probably be enough for overnight even. very comfortable, giving me plenty of ventilation for my back. Even got to use the rain cover for a pop-up shower or two. quick deploy and stuff stayed dry. Though, I may put a drybag liner in it and skip the rainfly, using the bottom zip pouch for something else.

I was looking for a lightweight backpack for short summer hikes and also for essentials on day tours when traveling. I am 74 and was an avid backpacker and still have many packs from day packs to top-rated expedition packs. So, I've used many and have put many miles on the trails and vacation tours. This pack is light weight because it doesn't have lots of "organizer" packets and sections which equals more fabric and possibly more zippers. Just use some ultra-light mesh stuff saks to organize. But the truly great tradeoff (manufacturing cost) is the very breathable mesh panel that is taught tight enough to bend the internal stays in the pack and hold it off your back. Wow, it feels so light and (especially on hot days) incredibly ventilated for your back- wow!

This pack is perfect. You can tell it was designed by people who really know how it will be used. Everything is easy. I use it every morning as a hiking pack, full of dog stuff, a hydration bladder, first aid, and snacks. The mesh frame minimizes heat and sweat. When I pick it up out of the car it feels heavy. When I put it on the weight goes away. Very comfortable. Infinitely adjustable. The old adage, you get what you pay for, this is worth paying the few extra bucks.

My old pack really made my back sweat while hiking. This one keeps it slightly off of your back with the mesh to allow airflow. My only complaint would be that it could use another pocket or two.

It fits snugly on the back when loaded, evenly distributing weight on the shoulders and waist. Feels very comfortable to walk long distances with this bag.

Well balanced size. Plenty of room for a day trip: snacks, trail-mix, a wind breaker, a pair of binoculars and a water bottle. And there was still some room left. It just became my favorite backpack for weekend trips.

Bought for my partner whole absolutely loves this. You pay extra for Osprey, but IMHO its certainly worth it. Well designed, well made and very comfortable. With the AirSpeed ventilation mesh it keeps the pack away from your back, so it's the ONLY system that keeps your back ventilated and cool and prevents sweating. A really nice piece of kit that will last years Worth the money.
