i was pleasantly surprised by this sunscreen. i am INCREDIBLY fair so anything with a tint makes me look orange and anything with a white cast makes me look blue. to be my daily spf, it needs to be truly clear. this dune mineral melt went on clear and dried down to a nice makeup base, though i only put on eyebrows & blush. its in my daily rotation.

Best mineral sunscreen ever and I have tried all on Amazon. Only Aussie brands and Japanese brands have no white cast .. this one is the best. I am never switching to any other brand.

How useful is it? I'm not sure. There was a smell when applied that I could not get over but my mom didn't have a problem with it so now she uses it.

Loved this for my face. I have an oily face so I am kinda picky about sunscreens for my face. But didn’t make my face super oily. There is a little bit of a white look to it right when you put it on but after you rub it in that goes away and it looks like just your face!

This might be one of the worst mineral sunscreens that I have ever used. I have acne-prone, dry/combo skin with minor rosacea and a minimal skincare routine. I hoped that this would be a good final step after using my favorite daytime moisturizer.My initial response upon squeezing it out of the adorable packaging is that this is a gel which is very unique for a mineral sunscreen formula. I applied a small amount to my face and it absorbed pretty much immediately - I assumed it was all good so I squeezed out my usual amount (2 finger lengths for face) and applied it in 2 rounds (one finger length per application round). I noticed that it became harder to apply and rub into the skin - and left a moderate to full whitecast to my skin. I kept rubbing the sunscreen and noticed it was pilling off around my eyebrows, temples, and mouth. The whitecast did eventually calm down, but it still left a slight whitecast to my fair to very fair skin. I looked slightly ghostly. I have noticed that each time that I have tried to wear this that my skin feels like ALL of the moisture has been sucked out. It does not leave me shiny, it leaves me VERY matte to the point where it is almost painful.This sunscreen could have been perfect, but the sunscreen pilling off of my face during application, and the fact that this is UNBELIEVABLY drying/mattifying on my skin is a huge no. I cannot recommend this, and I would run the other way. It also pills off of my face if I touch/rub my face at all throughout the day - it is ridiculous and unacceptable. I am so disappointed in this sunscreen - the brand's claims and description of this sunscreen is incorrect. This is not hydrating at all. I will stick with my Colorescience No-Show Mineral Sunscreen SPF50 which is actually the best mineral sunscreen that I have used to date.

Great product from Dune Suncare. The Mineral Melt (SPF 30) goes on effortlessly, leaving no greasy residue or white cast, which is a big win for my skin. It protects well without any heavy smells or harsh chemicals, and the lightweight feel is perfect for daily use. This one’s a keeper.

I recently purchased this product in addition to several other mineral-based sunscreens to do a little comparison.I have only used this product once, but for myself, the smell was really overwhelming, especially given that it goes on your face. I do tend to be a bit sensitive to smells, but I have never really had this issue with any beauty products before. I literally just removed it from the shelf after being bothered for 15 mins. Maybe I'll pass it along to someone else who's less likely to be bothered. But I don't think I can use this product again.That being said, it seems like a very good sunscreen otherwise. Just beware the smell if you tend to be a little sensitive.

This is the best mineral face sunscreen i have found. NO white residue and doesn't feel like you have sunscreen on.
