Edited Review of the S502U...
With hindsight, I feel my original review of this upgraded knife was a little harsh, so I have decided to revise it to be more reasonable. Full disclosure, I have been in touch with Roxon support (directly from China). They explained why they made the changes they did, and although I am still not a fan of losing the single-hand operation, I do understand why they opted and even had to do what they did with the S502U redesign. The knife is very well made. It's also a very handsome knife. The G10 casing is a nice upgrade. I have no way of knowing how the original metal casing felt in comparison, but I can imagine it feels similar (if not the same) to the Roxon S501 scissor/knife combo that I also own. I do actually like the S501 all metal casing, but I would probably like it more if it was G10.All the accessory blades that I purchased for the Roxon S802 fit the S502U well and it is easy and quick to change them out. It is nice to be able to carry around a single blade when it is not feasible/possible to carry around the heavier/bulkier S802.Honestly, I would probably rate this knife 4 stars, deducting one star for losing the single-handed operation. However, I really do appreciate how much Roxon support has reached out and followed up with me, and feel that alone should at least be worth 1 star. You cannot really go wrong with Roxon. I have bought several of their tools/knives/blades, and they are all rather high quality. Add to that excellent customer support and it makes Roxon a brand to be reckoned with in the knife/tool industry.

Innovating, value knife, at a more then fair price.
To me it a great value knife ($18) for the knife and blade, and $7ish for replacement blades. The blade steel doesn't seam super high end (a bit soft) but im guessing you didn't buy this knife to widdle a house in the woods or to knife enemies in some modern war. The steel seam more the addaquit for the opening boxes/package/light widdling/put a point/knotch on stick you find. The handle is surprisingly comfy and thin in your hands with a fairly easy blade deployment and solid lockup. The 10 blade options are cool so everyone can use there blade shape of choice. Replacing the blades are quick and easy with a simple locking system and there doesn't seem like any bits and pieces to lose inside it. The replacement plastic blade holder are very unique too, they hold the blades in a small light Secure holder and can connect then with little earth magnetic. One big down fall is with the utility blade holder. The plastic holder can't hold it with the blade in the utility blade attachment. Gonna try tweaking the plastic holder to get it to work but that's something I don't think I should have to do. I do hope as they expand this line they add higher quality steel blads, files and chisel type of attachments. I would have bought the knife and Scissor tool but they don't have there blade replacement thing on that yet so hope to see that In the future.

Actual EDC knife
From weather emergencies to wrapping gifts, the Roxon S802 has been my go-to for everything since I got it last summer. Adding the S502 lets me use the same excellent blades with less weight -- or more likely carrying both, e.g., with a serrated blade in the S802 and a plain edge on the S502.I do wish that blades could be purchased individually, rather than in pre-selected sets of three, but the sets are really economical and a great value overall, so no points deducted for that.I've been accumulating knives and multi-tools for decades, and have a lot of stuff now that I love, but never carry, not wanting to lose or damage items that would be hard to replace. But my Roxons actually see daily carry -- I just need to buy a few backups for safety, I never want to be without these excellent tools. 👍

Awesome budget edc
Clip point blade was razor sharp right out of the box. Easy blade changes and wide selection of optional blades and tools make this knife a great choice for your emergency kit.Only complaint is the thumbhole size and shape makes it hard to open one handed

Seems ok
Seems ok but my old pocket knife is sharper

Good but I would pay more for a nicer version
I love this product, for the money its great. The blade came sharp with a decent grind. The thumb hole is difficult to reach and impossible to use for lefties. For what I expected the detent and action are good. This knife is not a daily user. Its a toy for people who want to have fun swapping the blades.I would pay several times more for this blade swap mechanism on a high production knife. At this price point its lacking.

clever idea
the handle is pretty nice and the blade is solid. the system as a whole is really cool, lots of functionality with different blades, the multitool blade in particular is my favorite. There are some issues getting the blade unfolded, the handle doesn't offer as much grip as you need, maybe Roxon should use thumbscrews or something instead.I also had the pocket clip bend and break off very easily which is disappointing.overall the idea of interchangeable blades is really cool but leaves some things wanting. looking forward to its improvement.
