100% solved my wifes frozen and randomly bouncing touch control on her 2012 Chevy Suburban.
Don't let my 5 star review of the "ease of install" fool you. Removing the factory head unit from a 2012 Chevy Suburban is not for the faint of heart BUT... there are some great videos on YouTube that show the process step by step. Once the radio was out and on my kitchen table, taking the entire assembly apart to get to just the raw touch screen was kind of a PIA as well. But I took my time and organized all of the removed screws. There are step by step videos online of that process as well. Once I was down to having just the bare LCD screen in my hand, removing the digitizer took a bit of time with my heat gun and the pry tools they provide but it was not difficult. Placing the new digitizer was easy and reassembly of the car took only a fraction of the time it took to disassemble everything. Once back together, everything worked perfectly and my wife is so pleased. Her touch screen works like new again and for only a fraction of a cost of the $1,000 the dealer wanted to replace the LCD. Total time spent was probably an hour watching and rewatching the online videos and then another hour to remove the radio, replace the digitizer and then about 15 minutes to put everything back together again. Well worth it if you're handy. If you've ever replaced a stock radio in your car with an aftermarket radio, you can easily tackle this job. If not, a car stereo installation store can easily handle this job for you.

This is 2nd one better than first but still has issues
Was easy to install. However, one 2nd one, both immediately exhibited ghost input issues I was trying to resolve. At least the 2nd one takes most touch inputs when not ghosting. I wish there was another alternative, but other similar products appear larger than this one even though they say they are same replacement part #?Was hoping for better.

Great results for the price
The digitizer screen on my ‘17 Silverado went out about two years after purchasing it. Always ghosting or not working at all. I put up with it for years before a friend told me about this product. Figured for $30, I’d give it a shot. The most difficult part of the process is removing the old digitizer screen and cleaning up the edges where the new screen will seal. This screen does come with two sided tape already installed and the fit was perfect. It also comes with some tools to help with removing the old screen. I recommend taking pictures through the process so you can reference them if you get confused when reassembling everything. I’ve had the screen on for about a month, and the touch screen works great. Quality seems to be good so far. It’s also very clear and bright. Better than the OEM part when I purchase the truck.

Works great....some care needed in installing
This seems like a very good value....it replaces the screen which had ceased working reliably, and seems to be form, fit, function like new so far.Installation is straightforward, but some caution is advised as connectors are delicate in the existing truck, plus half the time to install was carefully removing adhesive adhering to old frame, which you are advised not to rush. These issues are due to the design and manufacture of the original Truck, not this replacement part.Replacement uses 7mm socket and T10 driver in 2017 GMC Canyon.Anyway, the part works great, you just need to allocate adequate time and patience so you don't mess up the job. I'd advice 2 hours for the first time non mechanic.

Worked the 2nd time
The 1st one ordered only worked for about 1/2 Hour. Yes, I followed all the instructions and watched many videos. I've been taking apart vehicle dashes since the 1980s. I am confident I installed it perfectly. It worked great at 1st, then it suddenly started jumping and ghosting and being non-responsive. I took it back out. Arranged an exchange with the seller. In 3 days they sent a replacement. I installed the new one exactly the way I did before, but this time the replacement worked perfectly and has been for the past 4 days. I gave 4 stars because of the time wasted getting a bad screen, but all in all, they sent a good screen so I'm pretty happy with it, but not happy with the loss of my time. In the event it doesn't hold up, I'll edit the review and date the time it took to fail, but I really don't think it will, a working screen is pretty nice!

Didn’t work for me
Have the dreaded ghost touch on my 17 Silverado. After online recommendation I purchased this replacement. Straight forward install and easy diy-there’s videos online. Unfortunately it only made my problem twice as bad. Not sure what the failure rate is for these things but rechecked three times to make sure I had it perfect.Edit: seller reached out and made it right, Buy with confidence as this seller cares about good business.

Same issues
After instally the new glass the buttons worked fine and everything seemed great. The next morning I get in the truck and the screen is going crazy with ghost touching and not working in different areas. This product was worse than the original screen I took out.

Did not fix my screen issues
I bought this product to fix my "ghost touch" issues with the OEM touch screen on my 2016 Colorado. This screen semi worked because I was able to actually use the touch screen after my oem one completely stopped responding to touch. However the ghost is still going on and the screen still goes haywire
