Be prepared to open it for sure
Update:I’m changing my review to 5 stars because I’m much happier with this printer than my other printers. It’s very professional and has so many features. But please read the oroginal review and also another one regarding the repair on arrival. You need to open the back and place the sd card in properly.Update:The print quality is good. It has many features including remote printing and monitoring (same network)It prints well and its app has many many settings to choose from. It is very bery complex. The gear boxes and feeding mechanisms that it has are crazy. I hope they don’t break or probably they cannot be repaired. This was my first print on it. A panel for a project that we have. I still have not played with fill/pattern settings.Update: 1 starI just received the replacement. I plugged it in and guess what, it didn’t turn on.But thanks to a 5-star reviewer, this time I knew I had to open the back.So you open the back plate, first the fan plate, then the main (lower) one. On top of the network port, there is a tiny micro-SD card. That is the one that comes out during shipping.Put that back in and it will work.Original: 1 starI received this item. It won’t turn on. There are no customer support services and FAQ on their website has like 2 Q&As on this printer. So now I have to send this giant thing back. Such a hassle.

Down more than it is up
Many of the good comments about this printer are true. Fast, quiet, good software functionality, however we have an issue with the heads jamming. Thought it was a head issue, but may be in the feeder mechanism after multiple heads. Luckily with 2 heads you can usually print while one side is down. We have had this 5 months, but with the long delays in fighting to get answers / parts, we are sitting idle yet again and have only run maybe 150hrs of print time tops. Experience with other Sindoh printers has been great, so I'm not sure if we got a bad machine or this design is flawed. Hope to weigh in after feeder mechanisms are replaced although it is out of warranty, so likely will be at our cost. And yes, only the Sindoh filament has run through the machine, so that is not the issue....

Well built machine that prints quietly
A really nice printer, but when it arrived the touchscreen would not turn on. We had the same issue as the previous reviewers who had to re-insert the software chip (micro SD card) in the back of the machine as it had dislodged from shipment. Removing the back panels (make sure power is off) allows you access to the SD card above the network port on the bottom left. Push the card back in and the touchscreen will turn on. Annoying that this happens, but not the end of the world. Sindoh should find a way to secure this better during shipment moving forward because their customer service in the US is currently only through email communication and could use improvement.Overall we are very happy with the print quality, construction of the machine is solid, and it's very quiet.

Full of promise, but has yet to deliver
We installed a 2x in my HS classroom two months ago, but only got two good weeks use from it. Since then the printer has had an error code that requires a reboot each time. I have a few back and forths with Sindoh customer service, with several days of lag between communications. This is getting frustrating. As for the 4 3DWOX 1s we've installed, they are dynamite. We replaced five Makerbot Replicator+s, each that had printed 500,000+ meters. The 2x has the same features we are excited about with the 1s - flexible print bed, filament flexibility (type and open source), and print consistency. The bonus advantage is print job queueing - this alone has probably doubled our printing capacity. The negatives are few - clumsy menu instructions and shockingly slow default print speed.Disappointed we've gone most the semester without being able to use the dual extruders, and hopefully this will be resolved soon.

good luck with tech support
This is printer # 4 of 7 different printer I have.. I have had itonly 2 months now. and have numerous problems.. tech support is only by email which is a total joke.. you can't always tell a person though a email what the issue is.. this is not a cheap printer.. I am sending it back and will look elsewhere.. as far as printing goes, its an ok printer. still never got the nozzles to align correctly.. I emailed them about that issue and it took forever to get back.. I would rather spend the money and get tech support when I need it, Not when its convenient for them. Plus I hate to type. So if you don't care about tech support where you need it... DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER.. Not worth the money...Happy shopping!!!
