Overall this feels like having a trusted friend in your corner - a good start for a sports book. The online edition is the icing on the cake - like having your friend on speed dial.Engaging writing and progresses well through the maze and surprising complexity that is studying sports. Fairly sparkling prose but you'll not be chuckling while you study, however the flow remains smooth throughout. The organisation is good and feels fairly complete, however it suffers from raising more questions than it answers.

The guide is comprehensive, covering all the key aspects of the OCR Cambridge National in Sport Studies syllabus. The information is presented in a clear and concise manner, making it easy for my child to understand and retain the concepts. I ordered this for my Grandson who has just started her GCSE year and is taking Sports Studies and Cambridge National is the qualification that he’s studying for.Having looked through the book I’m very impressed with the layout and and the full colour sections which are set out for each topic.He said that it looks like it covers all the topics and relevant modules and was very comprehensive. He was also impressed.The bonus is also available online so he can view different elements on a larger screen.For the price ( £6.50 at the time of the review) I think this is excellent value also considering you can access the online resources.An excellent aid to anyone studying Sports Studies in my opinion .

This is the Sport Studies book so there no major questions in relation to the study guide itself, instead you do get along the bottom of a few pages along the way tips to look up things for yourself and try different approaches. As this book is new I would think there might be a questions book soon along ( I did have a quick check but could not find one to go with this book ) So you could use this book if you are sitting exams or studying sports at school for some more study work.Well written as usual and easy to follow to along to, as all CGP books are.So if your children or yourself are studying sports this would be a good addition to help along.

As an athlete myself I thought I'd dive into this and see if it would be of any use to me. As it goes it's actually packed full of useful stuff and alot of it can be used in the sporting world, I've found myself using alot of the information in the book to help my club and team grow. I'd really love to gain the qualification just not sure how to go about doing so. I went on to get the practice papers too, really great stuff.

She got very excited when she saw it and was very impressed by the easy to follow information which is sectioned in different colours. She said that it covers all the topics of this module (apparently there is another module for anatomy) and was very comprehensive. She was also impressed that it was available online and said it is sometimes easier to have it read out to you rather than reading (as you sometimes skim things when reading).For the price of £6.50, I think this is a very affordable aid to anyone studying Sports Studies.
