My husband recently became a fireman, and he insisted we purchase these for our kitchen. I didn’t realize that different fire extinguishers serve different purposes, but now I understand why having both is so important. This variety pack includes a small red traditional ABC fire extinguisher for several types of fires (common materials, flammable liquids, and electrical fires), and a small white special kitchen fire extinguisher for stove/grease fires. Unlike the red one, the material in the white one is a form of baking soda which is easier to clean up and isn't as likely to damage your stove or other appliances. (It's not just a different color of paint.) These are small enough to store in a handy place if you don't want to put them on the wall. I have the white one in a cabinet beside my stove along with a fire blanket, and the red one is nearby. I wish the red one was a larger size, but this set of two was affordable and provides a lot of peace of mind. I also highly recommend keeping one of those fiberglass fire blankets handy as well. One of those saved my kitchen after a boil-over burst into large flames on my glass cooktop. I think my cabinets would have caught on fire without the blanket, which worked quickly and very well (and was of course immediately replaced). I'm much more fire-conscious now and have added these fire extinguishers. Each extinguisher was packaged in its own box. They should be good for 12 years from the year stamped on the bottom but are guaranteed for six years. Mine are both fresh, dated 2024. They also have a gauge which shows when they are no longer good. Fires are sudden and scary; I'm glad to have these and a fire blanket handy.

Perfect for the house & kitchen. I purchased 1 set for the kitchen, 1 set for upstairs & 1 set for the garage. I’ve have to use one before so it’s nice to have one in all areas for easy access if needed.

We recently had a small house fire, I used this fire extinguisher to stop it early, it saved our house. Granted, if I had not caught it early, the results would’ve been disastrous. I had really appreciated fire extinguishers, although I have a few around the house just for these circumstances. I honestly don’t know if these are better than the others though. After this, I purchased these for my children in their homes.

A must have for all living spaces. Protect yourself and loved ones and be able to put out that accidental fire if it ever happens.
