Works perfectly. Easy to assemble, gives my box turtle room to get some exercise when she's not roaming around the house. I took her to the vet a few weeks ago to get her beak trimmed, and they asked how old she is. Told them I have no idea, but I got her for my daughter in 1985, but the pet store owner didn't know how old she was when we bought her.I didn't use the legs, since I have the cage sitting on a table.

After looking at other reviews I was on the fence, but my son wants a tortoise. So I order it, it was easy to assemble, great parent-child activity. It's more spacious than the picture online paints in your head. It's sturdy and is suitable for a tortoise. You will have to buy some fixtures and bedding for it.

I’ve had a box turtle for 17 years and when we moved he needed a new habitat. His old one was quite worn. He absolutely loves this one! He is more active than he has ever been.We - both Zeus and I — appreciate the plexiglass sides. We also appreciate the plastic bottom. This lets me add moisture to his bedding without worrying about the bottom molding and rotting through like his last habitat (that had a major brand name).I took a star away for 3 reasons:1) it was miserable to put together.2) the support for the lamp was clearly designed by someone who never used the product and is totally useless. It also does not stay where it should.3) the wood is really low quality.

The media could not be loaded. I switched from using a garden table to this product. I really needed a habitat with a lid to keep my cats from jumping into the enclosure to bask under the heat lamps and make a mess of everything.It was not a large as I expected but the design is awesome. Love the windows and house area.Since it's not as large as I wanted it to be I make sure to take my Russian tortoise out for exercise for a few hours outside or in a playpen when it's too cold outside, it's not an "ideal" size for 24/7 housing, especially if you have a larger tortoise.BUT This is a great aesthetically pleasing little habitat.The assembly was difficult, I recommend you have someone helping. The instructions aren't super clear so we did a lot of guessing and having to unasseemble and reassemble particular parts of the cage.The quality seems average. It's very light and cam be easily moved if needed. I love the tray that just slides out for easy cleaning but I was hoping it would be deeper.I think this could be used for a wide variety of animals, could make an awesome hamster or rat cage.In the end I find that the price is great for this product. Totally affordable compact habitat with cool features. Just a pain to assemble.

Update 1: just received, in good condition. All parts seemingly here. It smells so chemical I’m having to air it out…I’ll update more!

Bought this for my son’s baby sulcata tortoise. Easy to assemble. Had to be slow with the screws as the wood would be easy to split with too much pressure. Would definitely recommend using a power drill carefully. A little wobbly but putting it on carpet made it stable. Will house our tortoise for a couple of years as he is a baby. Good purchase for the price.

Over all it’s pretty decent. But I’m disappointed in it because I know there are better products but after building it I think it would be difficult to return it.The Light stand on this is useless. The design is poor and it does not hold a light.Building the tank was a little difficult as the instructions were not very clear on which is the front side or back side of the product. Had to assemble it and take it apart to correct it.Soil will also leak from the sides. The tray does not fit tightly against the frameI would recommend the other more popular brand.

We purchased this for our eastern box turtle and it is absolutely great. Plenty of room and easy to move around. Set up was a snap and the two separate areas gives him options that make this very functional. No bad odors, just smells like wood
