We'd had our 'old' popcorn maker for several years; it seemed far preferable to make fresh rather than using the bagged microwave popcorn, as well as being more reliable, healthier and tastier -adding our own flavourings! It finally expired and a replacement was urgently required...such an array of new designs to pore over! Opted for this, compact to store, good reviews (aside from those I'd describe as nit-picking!) and apparently reliable. Excited to test it immediately, we've run it twice today! Initially, very much slower (almost 10 minutes) but producing very crisp, puffy corn, before any flavouring was added. Less than a dozen unpopped kernels -the revolving bar at the bottom keeps the contents moving constantly so no risk of burning (but don't walk away just in case!). No mess -and we're past the stage of young children enjoying seeing corn popping around the kitchen...! Simply to switch off, put on the red cap, and turn the whole thing over then remove the 'base' so your popcorn is in the bowl 'lid' ready to eat or share out. Highly recommended!

Good popcorn machine, never any burnt bits, but you can't pop much in one go, and you can't do another lot for a while.

Don’t think it will have a very long life. It’s very lightweight

I loaded popcorn turned on and left it. A few minutes later the popping stopped and it was ready; great. I’ve tried the air blown ones in past and they blew out most of the corn unpopped, so returned them. This one is lower powered, doesn’t burn them, even if left unattended for a while, and perfectly popped corn at a reasonable price. Keeping this one.

I bought this as a present for my friend's toddler who is a big popcorn fan. It was a hit!

I have still not use this pop corn maker so I cannot comment....sorry, but ot looks very nice and is a very nice size.

Wonderful

Very disappointed. The clear bowl that fits on the top and also acts as a popcorn holder to eat out of, is very thin plastic. When you hold it it bends and feels it could break with the slightest pressure. I would expect this to break within 10 uses. It was bought as a gift and I was very embarrassed when they opened it, as it was clearly very cheap quality. Would. NOT recommend this - it's the kind of item you would expect to buy in a market for £5.
