Is this a one-speed/gear bike, unsuited for touring?

I am not in th greatest shape, I’m not out of shape but I hav no problems with hills or riding for long periods of time, it is geared very high so I find that I pedal faster than I need to when I’m on flat surfaces, it works just fine on hills without any problem for me, if you can’t ride this bike up a hill, maybe you should stick to a stationary bike, for the price, you cannot do any better!

what is the maximun weight capacity for the rider ?

I am 220 lbs and it worked fine.The major problem is that it is a 1 speed and sooooo slow. I had to get rid of it. I took a big loss. rgp

Does the 20" model have ability to go in reverse?

Can this be ridden on a dirt and gravel road

This trike is recommended on flat smooth surfaces for best performance. Small sections of dirt and gravel are okay but in general the majority of the area should be smooth.
