Company Seal or Address Paper Embossing Press Machine for use with Limited Companies or letterheads

Criticisms: a pity no apparent means of changing addresses (if you do) because the lower block seems stuck to the stand and the upper block is screwed in. I'm not intending moving house, but......would have liked the chance to change the address label for a lesser cost that the entire purchase of a new item. The address blocks are silver in colour whereas the mechanism is black with gold decoration. The main part of the mechanism seems painted over but not consistently smooth - perhaps an element of its charm. It wasn't cheap.....I really like this item, despite nit-picking criticisms. It saves time to emboss the name and address. It uses no extra paper or ink, being embossing in its essence, and that is ecologically sound as well as saving money. An ink stamp purchased some years ago cost almost half the cost of this embossing stamp. The item is heavy (don't drop it) and little effort is needed to get the effect required. My last one (NOT purchased from Amazon nor from this seller - who got this to me very quickly) seized up and the handle broke. I hope this one lasts, too.Overall - a nice useful item which looks good on the desk. It can be used to mark books, letter heads (the one I bought) and address labels. I am pleased with it.

This was a gift for my recently moved parents. They no longer have the grip to work the newer handheld devices. This is nice a weighty piece so will sit on a table whilst being used. They are pleased with it and the clarity of the imprint. I was pleased with the speed with which the item was dispatched as it obviously personalised. My only criticism would be that the paint work is a little scrappy in places. Due to the time constraints of Christmas I did not take this up with the supplier and my parents seem happy with the item regardless of this.

I have a great regard for some old world etiquette and traditions, especially the simple beautiful old machinery that produces those little touches of luxury that make you smile. I love making things perfect, formal and individual. I like having little items of longevity and useful interest that mean nothing to others but add a little bit of personality to something that gives me endless amounts of pleasure.Gone are the days when you can walk into a beautiful old fashioned library where the shelves are made from solid wood or a nostalgic bookstore that looks warm and inviting on a cold winters day. The closest we have to that in the many cities of Great Britain is Waterstones. With this little old-fashioned looking gadget I can create my own little bit of nostalgia.This Machine is not as big as I expected (the plates are the size I expected), it creates a simple but deep elegant embossing with no effort and works brilliantly on the thick glossy pages of a cookbook. I initially bought this with the view of adding to the plates so I can personalise books for relatives making them a little more special, Sadly on this model you cannot do this but on the cheaper hand held devices you can buy separate plates. All in all: this to me is still worth the money I paid for it.

Lovely object with a clear well aligned imprint

Well built, although I would prefer a different font - and a larger platen for more lines.

Strongly built with the antique look. Seller allowed two different size fonts within limits of press. Useful for a headline or a post code in my case. Should last a lifetime if you remain at same address! Give thought whether top or bottom embossing is the most required. I would give it 10 stars if it was possible to reverse top or bottom embossing. Would make an ideal unusual present for a wedding or a new house.
