I bought this palette because I was tired of having to replace the sponge in my Masterson sta-wet palette. I like the Sta-Wet palette. It's works ok but the sponges for it seem to start to disintegrate after a couple weeks and for such a crappy cheap sponge the price seemed to much. Anyways, the Nicpro palette had good reviews and the price was good. It works great, my paints lasted almost a week without drying out and i live in a dry hot climate. Plus, it came with a bunch of extra papers and several sponges. The sponges seem to be better quality than the ones for the sta-wet palette. They're easier to rinse off and they are much smoother. The only thing is they weren't gray like the description says. They're more of a black shade, if thats important to you. I dont usually leave reviews unless a product is really bad or really good so me leaving this reviews means I was really impressed. I also just got some paint brushes from the same brand and I like them too.

Overall a great tray! Perfect travel size and good for home or studio. I only wish that I could stack the top lid on the bottom to use as a secondary wet pallette and then have the mixing tray on the top. But that's just because I'm an ADHD multi tasker who is working on multiple paintings at any given time or sometimes I need to use a secondary color scheme that's in need of a wet pallette. I work in acrylics. That said, that's just an improvement that I would love to see in the future to maximize the functionality. This is working great for now!

I cannot give this enough stars.There are decent wet palettes out there, but this one is the BEST. It maintains moisture for literally weeks, keeping those perfectly mixed colors ready.I love painting minis for D&D, and this has significantly decreased the less enjoyable parts of the process. It's simple, well-made, comes with plenty of mats and paper. It's just good functional design.

I like this wet pallet but there is no hole for the normal pallet to get any of the moisture from the bottom level when closing up the pallet after painting so the normal pallet dries out. The wet pallet doesn't but if it had a hole it would help the normal pallet section stay usable when closing it up but it is a good size and good quality compared to the big hobby name ones that costs more than this one

Awesome wet palette. Can use both sides if there are more than one person painting. It has more than enough pads and paper. One of the best art purchases ever.

Love this little palette. I cut a plastic palette to fit because the paper palettes were a little flimsy, but you wouldn’t need to do that. Just use less water on the sponge.

Item is as described, but the way it is designed, the sponge shifts around in its compartment, there is not any sort of recess to hold it in the middle. Also, I would have preferred if the largest, heaviest part had been used for the wet pallet, instead of the flimsy feeling bottom piece that is no heavier seeming than the lid. I guess it's nice that they also give you a dry pallet, but that isn't what I got this for and it seems wasteful to have it take up most of the space and bulk of the item. some sort of clip or tab to prevent the paper from arching would have been nice too. It would not cost more to make something better as far as I can tell, it would just take better design choices. I haven't yet seen how well it keeps paint wet, I plan to update the review as needed if it doesn't even function correctly in that way.

Amazing product easy to use and small enough to pack when traveling. Has made painting 40k models a breeze.
