Activated by the closing action of the door, dropping down to seal only when the door is closedFitted so that the plunger at one end of the door presses again the frame when the door is almost closed, which then operated the drop down seal.Will drop down and seal against out of level floors if required.This is a rebated model. Its a fantastic hidden drop down seal. For fitting the door must be removed and a channel routed into the bottom of the door. We've previously had mechanical draught strips that dragged on the floor and eventually stopped working. This is much better is you hide it in a channel that you rout into the bottom of the door. It's an easy DIY job with just a few screws once the groove has been cut in the bottom edge of the door. The button that releases the seal can be adjusted to suit your door jambs so it drops down and seals at just the right point Our hallway is now noticeably warmer, and I'll be buying a second one soon for the back door too.
