Good, but the legs are warped
This magnifier is decent. Actually, better than I expected.Covers a large and practical reading area.It magnifies without of lot of barrel distortion associated with cheap round magnifying lenses.Stated magnification is 3X, but I can't get anything close to that. It's probably a little bit less than 2X, so nothing miraculous. There is some chromatic aberration, color shifting, at the outer edges of lens (relative to your viewing position). So you're going to see some yellow and orange outlines around whatever you're viewing. Especially around high contrast areas. This is to be expected at this low price, materials and technology. Now for the bad. The legs are all warped outward, so when they are folded up next to the lens frame they stick out and have about 1/8 clearance, to get caught or snag on things. And with use, tugging to deploy them, it will probably get worse. If legs aren't essential, consider some of the alternative options without legs.Lighting, at this price, you're not going to have modern, sophisticated battery power regulation that would better manage the ratio of lighting to battery life. It will consume batteries quickly and get dim quickly. The lanyard while helpful, it fairly minimal and doesn't look like it will last long. One star off for the magnification being less than expected. One star off for the warped legs.

Bed Bugs
We travel a lot, so going into hotel rooms research the beds each time we use this for the light and the magnification. Thankfully, we’ve never ran into any bedbugs, however, if we did we see them better.

It works
It's not an expensive instrument so don't expect too much. However, we use it for tiny puzzle pieces and it does help us. We actually use it quite often.

Great Magnifying Light
From first impressions, this is a great magnifying glass with LED lights. It’s very light in both senses of the word. It’s easy to hold and you get a whole lot of light from the LED lights. The quality of the optics is about what you expect from something at this price point- not world class, but still much better that no magnification at all. I had given up reading one of my favorite comic strips (Non Sequitur) because my local paper printed it in a very small format. Now, it’s easy to read. Some minor objections. The LED on/off switch is supposed to provide variable light intensities, but in fact it’s pretty much all or nothing. When you turn it on, there is no light, when you turn up the intensity half way, there is still no light, then all of a sudden you have full light. That’s fine with me. Who wouldn’t want full light? Finally, if you hold it so you can read the easy to remember model number, NZQXJXZ you will find that the labels for the on/off switch in the lower right corner are upside down! This is just nitpicking- none of them would prevent me from buying another one, and that’s what I’m going to do if this one holds up over time. At 25 bucks a pop, it’s a no brainer to buy a couple more to place is strategic places around the house.

Disappointed
In the description it stated that it was glass but is made of plastic. The magnifying plastic has swirls on one side that make the letters appear unclear. Do like the lights

We can not get it to light without being plugged in ! What are we doing wrong?
We love how it magnifies but does not light unless plugged in! We do have batteries in correctly wish we could use without being plugged in! Thank you!

As advertised! NZQXJXZ
There appear to be a number of suppliers of this magnifying (acrylic) 'glass' so I mentioned my supplier above. It came as advertised. It is acrylic and it is clear and not smokey. The magification is adequate depending on your needs - mine is reading late at night when I don't want to reach for my glasses or turn on the light. Speaking of light the dimmable lights have two settings and the lower setting is not too bright bouncing of white surfaces so the higher setting is bright. It is not too heavy to hold comfortably for a period of time but this is obviously dependent on your strength. The pouch was supplied and it folds and sits inside easily. It takes 3 AAA batteries. I would prefer if they just used 2 AA batteries. Anyway for $20 it is a good buy.

Lighter than most magnifiers. Smooth LED Lighting. A quality product.
The only feature to enhance this product would be a wider lens. Otherwise, a good value-priced product.

Too small and awkward
The viewing area is too small for my husband and he didn't care to have to hold it. Bought stronger magnifier eyeglasses instead. For someone looking for something like this, they look well made and fold up well.

Happy with this
More than happy with this, seems quite solid. Always hesitant buying something like this online, site unseen. But this has been handy already.
