Water is purified … for a price 💦💦🔫
Got the glass versions as I thought “I’m trying to reduce my micro plastic intake so probably shouldn’t clean water in a plastic jar”This water purifier does exactly what it promises—delivers clean, fresh-tasting water. It’s easy to use, and I’ve noticed a big difference in taste compared to tap water. No weird aftertaste, just crisp, refreshing water. The filter lasts a decent amount of time, and replacing it isn’t too pricey. Not the fanciest model out there, but for the price, it’s a solid buy. If you’re tired of bottled water or chlorine taste, this is a great solution!

The Holy Grail of Hydration (and Coffee Machine Peace Talks)
Bought this BRITA Glass Water Filter Jug because our coffee machine's built-in filter was about as useful as a chocolate teapot. Enter this majestic jug — sleek, glassy, and surprisingly fridge-friendly. I was expecting something the size of a medieval urn, but it actually fits right next to the milk like it belongs there. It’s only 2.5L, but somehow doesn't hog space like that one flatmate who spreads their hummus across three shelves. Now our coffee machine has stopped sulking, the water tastes like it was blessed by alpine monks, and we feel unnecessarily smug about our hydration choices. We use it exclusively to fill the machine, and I half expect it to start purring every time we do. Honestly, this jug is probably the most refined thing in our kitchen. It’s glass, so we feel classy. We’re not. But still.Highly recommend if you like your water filtered, your coffee smooth, and your fridge slightly more sophisticated than it was yesterday.

Brita Helps, But Sustainability Could Improve
I bought this after a friend advised me to stop drinking tap water in England, and my bloating actually went away. Unfortunately, using filters is necessary. While I appreciate that Brita is making efforts to collect and recycle their replacement filters in some areas, I do wish there were more sustainable options available. Greater durability and further reduction of plastic waste would make this product even better.

Smaller, lighter and made of glass
Received today. Appears excellent, this narrow glass design taking up less counterspace. I consider the Brita Smart Light an improvement on the plastic jug digital counter. When green turns to yellow and then red, it's time to replace a filter. Three of these come with this jug.

Fantastic
Arrived quickly and well packaged. Three filters are included. Read instructions because of the traffic light system that has to be installed in the lid. Wash every thing before installing. Solid construction, easy to put together and install. Light when filled up and although the lid is plastic it's good that it's glass which is better for the environment. Definitely pricey because of the glass. Like that a yellow light flashes as a reminder that you need to get a filter and red flash means change the filter, which means you won't have to remember when the filter needs a change.

Just what I wanted
I've had a couple of plastic Brita jugs but I've always ended up not using them as I cant get them as clean looking as I would like. But this glass one is so easy to clean and looks clean so I feel confident. The use timer in the lid works well and seems to be accurate.Easy to fill, clean, and use.My only disappointment is that it is not fridge door friendly so we can't use it for cold drinking water, we use it to fill out kettle and coffee machine and it's really cut the amount of limescale. Not too heavy but not as light as a plastic one. It's sturdy but being glass it will break if dropped, but it feels like it will withstand a bang on the sink, but we are being careful! No horrid taste so that great.

Making Hydration Classy, One Sip at a Time
After shopping around and even giving a competitor a fair shot, I've come back to Brita, thanks to their sleek new glass carafe. This thing makes filtering water feel like an upscale experience. It's not just about looks, though—it’s also a breeze to clean, and you won't have to deal with those unsightly scratches that plastic carafes develop over time. Plus, glass just feels more hygienic. In most cities, filtering your water is non-negotiable, and I've definitely noticed an improvement in taste with Brita. It's like going from tap sludge to mountain spring purity. However, there is a minor hiccup: this carafe won’t fit into the fridge side door. Seriously, Brita, a little fridge-friendly design wouldn’t hurt.Despite this minor flaw, I still wholeheartedly recommend it. If you want your water to taste great and look stylish while doing it, this glass carafe is a must-have. Just make sure to clear some shelf space in your fridge and enjoy your elevated hydration game!

Okay
Better than a fully plastic jug however the filter holder is a plastic unit that sits within the newly filtered water. Also does not fit into the door of my bosch fridge so the water is never cold. It’s okay.
