I use it to extend a web cameras cable. I'm able to use it without extra power, but I'm only feeling with a 720p camera (maybe 1080p). It does work with the audio from the camera, the one time I forgot to switch to the microphone.

I'm in the process of hooking up a remote control for a room over the garage duct fan and needed a way to get the fan's controller to connect and control the fan speed. This USB (which is the way the remote is wired to the fan motor) active cord does the job. Worth having.

Excellent signal, no data lost

Solidly built and works well, but of the 3 different 20-30 ft USB 3.0 extension cables I use, this is the thickest at ~7mm (over 1/4"). My thinnest is ~5.5mm, but no longer available (like a number of alternatives). I run this under a door so if cable thickness is an issue for you too (it's also quite heavy), take care with this otherwise good extension cable. The thickness may indicate better shielding, so if that's what you're looking for this may be good.

got this to run to my print farm in another room and it works amazing with a usb dock no data transfer issues and high speed cannot recommend enough

Currently using the 30 ft version and this cable to provide USB to a PC in another room. It does not seem to supply enough power for reliable connection for wireless adapters. Specifically a Guilikit controller, logitech wireless mouse, and all in one Logitech wireless mouse and keyboard all do not work reliably with this adapter in place. I powered the USB Male on the receiving side as reccommended in the installation instructions by a couple different sources to attempt to improve the connection strength and this did not work.Wired connections do appear to work well with minimal latency but have not tested on competitive games.

The first 30’ cable was made incorrectly but the replacement takes awesome live videos of fish aquarium.

Purchased for extending distance to a USB Webcam. Works well. Other cables did not work as well or at all. This cable also has a USB A jack on the camera end in case you need more power than can be delivered by the computer USB C port over the entire distance.
