Worked for me
I do martial arts three times a week and have been suffering from golfers elbow for years. It comes, especially after a hard session. I would normally have to reduce training or stop altogether. I bought this and am very pleased with it. It is basically resistance training for your forearms. I can say that this helped rehabilitate my tendons and I rarely get golfers elbow. You do have to keep on using it, of course (!) so as to strengthen your arms. There was a study done on these and they proved to be quite effective. On YouTube, look up reverse tyler twists which has an exercise you can do with them.

Excellent for Tennis Elbow relief
I used one of these via a friend last year and it fixed tendinitis in my right elbow after about 3 weeks of use, when cortisone injections had failed.I now have tennis elbow in my left arm, so bought one of my own. Looking forward to the relief. Most people are surprised by the sturdiness of these cylinders once they acquire it. Quite weighty and provides good resistance for the exercises used for Tennis and Golfer's elbow. Yes, instructions in the box are in German, but for my specific use there are videos on YouTube and the manual is illustrated anyway :)

Tennis Elbow Relief
The first thing you need to know is that the colour is important! There are 4 strengths:Yellow is weakest, taking 3.0 kg to bend into a "U".Red takes 4.5 kg.Green is 6.8 kg.And Blue is 11.3 kg.(This is what it says on the box)I bought this to treat tennis elbow. There are loads of articles online (search for "tennis elbow eccentric exercise") and videos on YouTube showing you how to use it (the "Tyler Twist" for tennis elbow (lateral tenderness) and the "Reverse Tyler Twist" for golfer's elbow (medial tenderness)).The bar comes with an instruction booklet showing various twisting, bending and 'swinging' exercises. It is all in German but it comes with photographs, so you can work out what they are getting at!The bar is made of latex. It feels pretty sturdy and is quite substantial (around 30cm long).

blue flex bar
I have had tennis elbow for nearly 8 months now. I am a plumber so I have been subject to repetetive strain with screwdrivers, spanners etc.... Most important is rest, and then use the flex bar. I've only had it for a couple of days but can feel what it is doing to my forearm. If I used the flex bar too early I would have caused more damage to my tendon. I jumped straight to the blue and am only doing as much as I can. Slowly building up to 3 of 15 a day. It will take time. Do not rush to do too much. I give it 4 stars cus I haven't had it very long but I think this is the best product so far for my rehabilitation.

Worked for severe tennis elbow problem
Red Thera-Band FlexBar review:1)Remember Red band is the softest of all of them - you have to use the red one to start with!2)Google for "thera Band Flexbar exercises" to find some Youtube videos. Main thing is to do the final slow release with your elbows fully straight.I've had a bad tennis elbow for 5 years now.Had an 18 month break from tennis and started playing again but had to stop soon even playing with very low string tension (45 pounds). As of last December I could not do any DIY or even open a bottle of Coke with my right hand. This is after 12 month break from tennis and 6 months break from volleyball as well.Started with 5 repetitions a day for 4 weeks. Now after 4 months I can do 45 reps a day and started playing volleyball a little. Need next tougher color now. From experience and from what my physio tells me:1)After some damage need a few months of rest (doing everything with left hand, avoiding any DIY etc).2)Then start on the flex bar with very few reps. You will feel pain doing the reps and also you should (!) feel a little worse next morning (a little bit more pain than before you started). This is expected.Keep doing the 5 reps a day until you do not feel it worse next day - this happened to me after 4 weeks, although I still had some little pain while doing the reps (and I should according to my experienced physio). I found that I may have a little pain in the morning but after doing my 5 reps I'd feel no pain at all.3)Once you can do 5 add 1 rep a day/every couple of days until you can do 15 with little extra pain next morning. Again a little extra pain in the morning is not a problem.4)Then I was able to rather quickly add more (5 a day) until you can do 45 a day (3 groups of 15). In my case I could do this in about 2 weeks.Anyway this is a great product and I am a firm believer now that it works. Beauty is that you can get the same amount of force required eery time so it is easy to know just how much you do every day.

Sports Authority UK is not in the UK
I was told to get a flexibar by my psysiotherapist. Great for fixing tennis elbow. So ordered one from Sports Authority UK .Wondered why it had not turned up yet. Discovered SPORTS AUTHORITY UK is in America. Not the United Kingdom .Will leave feedback on flexibar when it finally turns up in a months time. A misleading add for somebody in the uk.

Useless!
My doctor recommended I purchase this for my tennis elbow. This took a long time to be delivered and when I opened it, I realised all the instructions are in German.I haven't a clue how I'm supposed to use this thing. I'll have to arrange another appointment with my doctor.

Solid!
It works great! I suggest to read the instructions and watch videos about it, this thing is extremely effective and fun to use, so it's possible to do excessive work and strain the muscles. Following the guideline of a video I found I started very gently and after the first session I was like "mmmh I don't feel much" but the day after I felt I actually did a healthy amount of work instead.
