I’ve had cervical disc issues for the past 25 years. I’ve tried every expensive pillow on the market. I’ve been using this pillow as my only pillow for sleeping. Due to its design I believe it creates perfect traction as I sleep. I don’t have breathing problems but it feels like I can breathe better while I’m using it. It’s just nice to wake up with no neck pain.

Probably this product is as it says it is, but, I was looking for something to relieve pain in my neck. I’m thinking of taking even MIRE of the hull things out; I’ve taken quite a few out, but still a little stiff. I’ll just have to work with it. Not a very good review, but, still working on the pillow.

The smell

I love my hull pillows and when I saw this I jumped at the chance to get it. I like that there is a separate zipper bag of additional hulls and the pillow itself has an inner zipper pouch of hulls.I like this but I prefer the full pillow. This is more of a bolster type oblong pillow. That makes it harder to also get the hulls spread just so. But it is a good one for when my neck is killing me and I need to support it differently than my normal pillow.

I really wanted to like this little pillow as it seems as though it was well thought out. The inner pillow which is cotton and has a zipper to add or remove the buckwheat is inside a heavier fabric with zipper that is washable. The zippers are fine and small so not too noticeable. I wanted something to support my neck but unfortunately the pillow was to wide even after removing a good amount of the buckwheat. It just gets flatter. I still plan to use it as a travel pillow though so all is not lost. I also loved that the added another bag of buckwheat for those who may want or need more firmness.

Ahhhh, so relaxing! This little pillow is filled with the right amount of hulls for relaxing my neck back and maintaining curvature in my neck. This is a wonderful shape- the design especially at the ends is similar to Thai bone pillows I use for restorative work. The cover is soft and has a nice texture. The inner bag is lightweight. Both bags have hidden zippers with sturdy pulls. Comes with extra hulls to stuff the pilow for more firmness. Included is a wash bag to place the covers in for washing. The buckwheat hulls should not get wet, but instead you can put them in the sun (I use a clean tray) for awhile to freshen them. I love buckwheat hull pillows, find them incredibly soothing, and the sound like rain or a rainstick as they hulls move. They have a very light natural earthy smell. Quick tip: add some dried lavender or rosebuds for extra sensory experience. A perfect size for home, for travel, or taking along for lunch break rest. Highly recommended.

This buckwheat pillow is comfortable and pliable. It has just the right amount of filling to shape the pillow up plumply, while giving support to my lower back or neck. The pillow is not large, but it is the right size to sit on my shoulders while I lounge, or to tuck on my lower back for lumbar support and relief. There is a little pouch included with additional buckwheat filling, in case you desire more. I thought that was a nice touch. The pillow is made solidly and with good material. It seems quite durable and is useful to me.

The cover (with hidden zipper) is also washable! Additionally, the use of buckwheat hulls is eco friendly, and I'm all for that! The seller includes an extra little bag filled with buckwheat hulls to add to your pillow if necessary. I thought that was a nice touch! (I also want to note that I noticed no offensive smell. I imagine if there was an odor of any kind, just exposing your pillow to the sun, or outside air should alleviate that.)Overall, I am quite pleased with the quality and design of this buckwheat-filled bolster pillow! My back is definitely thanking me! If you have need of a little extra support for your back, neck, head, or any other area needing some pain relief, I highly recommend it!
