Im honey brown with an underlying yellow skin tone so it almost seemly blends with my natural coloring. But with a significant enhancement... it literally brightens up the areas I brush it over. The glitter almost adds light to my face in those areas and brightens any dark areas that need a little pop. And crazy because it's shimmery it even adds sort of an illusion that over my makeup really covers blemishes well. What covers the blemishes is that the glitter is sort of reflective and light bounces off of it and detracts from the blemishes. I now brush a bit of it on my face where I have some acne in addition to the regular areas. It also gives a lovely glow to my skin. I tend to like a more wet look to my makeup but at times opt to wear powder foundation and this livens up the flat dead look you can get with mat makeups. Makes me feel pretty on my ugly days. The highlighter is pretty compact and can go a long way so to really get it out of the packaging and on your face the right brush makes a huge difference. I use a small very dense but soft brush about the size of my eyelid over my eyes for eyeshadow. I'm not gentle at all too and I apply a couple times to get a nice deep glittery eyeshadow. I'm lazy and so not specific in technique but it still looks amazing. Just go over and over until it's as rich as you want it. Then I use a large soft dense brush for cheeks, nose and really get it on the brush and go over a few times. And if I want to highlight the jawline or around my forehead near the scalp, like a lighter dusting I use a puffy loose brush to just dab a bit lightly around those areas, not too thick cause then your whole face is just glitter lol. Overall AMAZING product. My makeup routine consists of powder or liquid foundation depending on what my skin is doing that day and now this glitter highlighter and mascara and natural lip balm. Love it!! My only complaint is the cardboard packaging. It's so flimsy and not wipeable. If it gets wet sitting on my bathroom counter.. well it’s wet cardboard. Totally not going to last. So have to be careful.
