Sloppy manufacturing tolerance and quality control
Bought this to fit a 2-1/2 inch square tube trailer tongue. Unfortunately, it was 1/16 inch too narrow (the tubing was exactly 2.5 inches wide). I got it to fit by heating and molding it around the tubing. I had this on-hand for over a month before I realized the problem, but Amazon's return policy changes after 30 days.
