(which again, was one of the main reasons I purchased this lock). Let me tell you, this company's customer service is through the roof top tier excellent. Well, they quickly responded and were suddenly emailing me really wanting to help resolve the issue for me. Ultimately, they sent me a replacement part, which did require uninstalling the previous part to install the new part---but I could appreciate that they were being proactive and checking in on me every step of the way. You can always check on your phone if worried you forgot to lock it, check the status, and lock or unlock to let someone in or keep them out. It works well and best of all if you're more than a quarter mile away or so, when you come home, it unlocks for you automatically. I had one problem with one--- they didn't even ask when I bought it, they just shipped out a new one-- pretty amazing. By way of contract, I used to buy Schlage -- they never answered my emails and I never got a live-body on the phone. My guess is they're just monetizing the brand at this point.
