Brilliant game
My family have at least 6 copies of this game because we all enjoy it so much. It can be more ruthless than Monopoly, as you have the chance to gang up or pick on a player

Perfect for getting the kids off their smartphones.
A fold out map of Britain. Little model trains. Two packs of cards - who would have thought these ingredients could make for such a fun game. There's no money in this game, just a random selection of British & Irish attractions to visit and the 1920s railway network to navigate on the way round. So far, so ho-hum - what makes this game great is the Hazard Cards, which have passed into family legend - "Enticed to fish: Go to Grimsby" and "Bored with modern architecture: Visit Brighton" are just two of them. Other reviewers have mentioned loving this game in its original incarnation. Me too. I bought this modern, slightly more luxurious edition for my nephew, who loved playing it 20 years ago. To watch his fiancée, from Belfast, struggle to locate the attractions was a hoot. As I said, this is great family fun, and perfect for detaching children from their electronic devices.

Great gift
Bought as a gift, but looks good from the box

Brilliant game, so much fun and quick to learn
Only quibble is that the player counters (in the shape of little trains) are too big for the print size on the board - it's possible to cover more than one station with each counter, which can be annoying for readibility, but this doesn't interfere with the fun of the game.

Excellent family board game
I LOVED playing this game as a kid so was excited to see it available to buy on Amazon. I have bought this for my nieces for Christmas and can't wait to give it them. ..I only hope they enjoy it as much as me and their mum used to!!! It is a really entertaining game and one of those rate ones which manages to hold the interest of different age groups of children. It's fast moving enough that there's not chance to get fed up, and, despite the picture on the front of box, isn't at all 'trainspotter-y'. It is educational too, but stealthily so, so that it won't make the kids turn their noses up at it. Oh, delivery was fast by the way.

Not bad but a feew issues...
Nice idea, but some of the rules were a bit unclear, ie when sent somewhere by a card, do you haveto make your way there, or just instantly teleport there and a few such situations, so common, and yet not described in the booklet. Also, the pieces are quite large and it can get really crammed. We wished the board was larger, maybe twice, or even gisnt, like x4 ( or the size of thedining table) then it would have been a lot more family friendly androomy enough for the train piecesto move freely.

Fun game!
Love this game. Played it a lot when I was a kid but it got thrown away before a house move. Nice to get the updated version. All my family love it and it is suitable for all ages. My 8 year old nephew likes playing it and so does my 80 year old father. Worth the money.
