Network interfaces break w/high traffic flow.
Great form factor and features, but the hardware/drivers have bugs/issues which make the device unusable, and it lacks the community adoption/support that you see with RPi. Any real network traffic results in complete loss of network connectivity on this device (requiring a power cycle). Something as minor as scanning 10 tcp ports with nmap will kill this thing. Tried adjusting scan settings, a different OS distro, and used a 65w USB-C adapter to eliminate any potential issues relating to power. Nothing worked.Back to RPi for me. I'd rather overpay for something that works than try and fight through the product maturity issues that are present with this Orange Pi device. At least I can use the power adapter for the RPI4 I had to pick up. The rest of the kit will sit on the shelf for a bit. Hopefully it's not a hardware issue and I'll eventually be able to use it for another project.
