volume is a little weak but it's a nice little unit i will use while outside doing yard stuff ! I really like the design !

Very compact which worked out great for us. We needed something small. Sound is just ok. We were surprised how well the AM and FM came in so clear. For the price it did what it was purchased for.

Just received this item..the LCD screen did not work..blank.Also to change the station you have turn knob...so impossible to actually dial in accurately.. especially since the LCD screen is blank..Returning immediately.

Please know I'm sharing my review based solely on using the CD function of the player...Pros:1. I loved the small size - Um....sorry, that's pretty much it for the positive!Cons:1. I HATE the LCD Display: A. The readout is very small (good luck unless you have perfect vision!) B. There is NO backlight!! (I had to use a small flashlight!)2. Player is hyper-sensitive to motion and will very easily skip (no touchy, no bumpy!)3. Discovered I don't appreciate the hassle of having a Power Button that is at side/back of player and combined with other functions i.e. on/off, radio, cd, aux, etc. (I ended up just leaving the power on). Same location issue with the volume wheel4. I struggled with the function buttons layout (Stop/Pause, Skip, Repeat, etc.). I ended up putting tiny removable dots to help with navigation (my own version of braille!)5. LCD Timer maxes out at 10 minutes & then repeats (many of my cds are 60 minutes!)6. Sound & Volume is mediocre. I primarily use good quality headphones but even at the highest level, the volume is still low (very frustrating when trying to enjoy rock music!)7. Less important: A. Headphone Jack is in back of player (but HEY! At least it HAS one!!) B. Personally, I learned I don't like the sloped design on top, I prefer flat (to set cds on)Maybe you'll think I'm picky but I'm returning it and so the hunt continues for the perfect little player!GOOD LUCK: "May The Odds Be Ever In Your Favor!" DEFINITELY not worth for a "main radio", But has a wide variety of options. Perfect for having a radio on for pets, or listening to talk radio or podcasts. Or some music in the background. Cheap Headphones are going to be a better music listening experience than this thing's speakers.I mean, it's fine for something small and basic. But the speakers don't get THAT loud. Just doesn't have a fidelity for music that plays in a broad range (low bass to high treble). Bass? Nah. Mids and low-highs.3 Stars because of it's size and options. Lost 2 stars because the speakers are not good for playing music loudly.

Bought this boombox for my 85 year old Father. He likes to listen to country music on his back porch and will sit for hours listening to the CD player or radio. Not very big and can be moved easily.

Bought for my elderly dad during his recent happy visitHe was able to easily use all the functions and loved listening to his audio booksLight weight so not heavy for him to move around although sturdy so would take a knock if accidentally knocked he loves it

I bought this for all my cassettes from the 80s and they sound brilliant on this, great sound for the size, very pleased with it

Great value, compact and stylish. Sound excellent for size and plays most old tapes well. Radio is also high quality and I am very pleased. Replaced 40 year old player which has just stopped working. I am hoping this will last a few years! Now I do not need to get rid of my old cassettes. It loses a star because full forward and rewind is slow and clunky with no auto stop. Therefore it is best for playing tapes right through, which I tend to do anyway.

Bought this to replace my old player. Can absolutely recommend this , it's brilliant and very lightweight. The price is very reasonable as well. Would definitely buy this again.
