I haven't purchased this exact one, but all the little rooms I have purchased require 2 AA batteries.

Smaller. Closer to 1 to 24. I estimate that a figure 3 inches tall is an adult height in the room.

You'll need glue and tweezers. You'll want several pair of tweezers and some binder clips as clamps.

As other answers stated, there are many small pieces, a few larger bits (to make the furniture), and paper to cut out. I would not recommend any other glue for the wallpaper other than wall paste that is used for dollhouses. Any other glue is too watery, and thus forms bubbles which then wrinkle your paper. I also highly recommend Alene's Tacky glue for all other pieces. Don't use superglue or anything that glues too tight. If you make a mistake, you can't remove it easily. Tacky glue takes a bit to dry, but not too long, so that you can move and fit as needed. Even after it's dried, I've removed pieces and it hasn't been a travesty. I also recommend sharp, pointy tweezers (ESD-12) and blunt tweezers (ESD-13) which will help you form and fold the paper pieces, as well as hold pieces together. A stand alone magnifying glass is also the bomb diggity, so consider that too! I love these kits- I've made about 10 so far. I can't stop.
