The product seems well-made, although it would certainly be better if a single tube. It screws together, probably for lower shipping costs, but came with Teflon tape pre-installed on the threads. I was careful to fully tighten and later re-tighten and it hasn't leaked. Solves the problem of watering a tree without overwatering the topside. I am concerned it may be hollowing out pockets beneath but I'm near Dallas and have terrible black clay soil, so who knows, it always cracks and shrinks. Several trees looked very stressed and after using this for a few days, they definitely perked up somewhat. Do be careful where inserting in consideration of any sort of underground plumbing or electrical.

I've made root waterers, and this is much higher quality than what I made. With this root waterer, I can push into the ground with ease. I also like the fact that it has a part that allows me to control the water flow rate.

This Stainless Steel Deep Watering Tool is a good length for providing water to tree/shrub etc roots. The valve was very tight initially and required a pair of pliers to loosen it. It now works well and can need some oil lubricant. to allow good water flow.

I actually used this for moles in the back yard. It seemed to work great as I can't see them active anymore. Takes a bit to get it started in packed ground but be patient.

It was easy to use and it did a good job....Looks like my trees are starting come back....

Like that it’s very durable would if given a five star but it leaks from the fitting. I have to use teflon tape every second day to stop the leaking. But it does do the jobi intended to.

Easy to use - tiny leak on the weld but works great
