I bought these for my Frenchie, he enjoyed them but he enjoys any treat I give him. Due to that I will stick to his usual grain free treats, as they are just too expensive for the amount you get.

I’ve not given my dog raw dog treats before but I thought that I’d give these a try, to see how he gets on with them.   I managed to get three different flavours to review, these being pork, beef and turkey - I’m happy to report that my dog loves them all, I use them as a high value treat for when he’s ‘off-lead’ or when he’s at training sessions.The treats are made up of 90% single meat protein and 10% pumpkin - they are freeze dried so none of the goodness is lost through a cooking process.   The pumpkin is tasty, full of fibre and it’s great for a dogs digestive system.    The treat pellets are very light in weight which means that you get a lot of individual pieces for the weight, which is helpful when you take the weight of treats out of a dogs daily food allowance.   The pellets are all different sizes, anything from about 5mm to 15mm long.The 40g bags are currently £4.49 which is quite pricey, however you can get a 480g bag for £29.88 which works out to be 80-90% cheaper - which is much better value.

Okay, so 'Raw' grabbed my interest, add to that single protein and I was hooked. We have strived to always feed our dogs the best diet, Raw is a preference but it is getting so difficult to source 'proper' raw, it tends to be bulked out with 'other' animal sources so you may get different types of meat in whatever the main title source was. It confuses the issue and the diet. Single protein should be a guarantee that the source is of one type of meat.These COYA Beef treats certainly fall into our criteria of good RAW food and single protein.We have resorted to good quality processed feeds to supplement the raw diet and that feels the best way to go, so seeing this range of foods, I decided to try the treats before trying the range.Quite pale looking 'tubes' in a small 40g pack averaging around 3cm in length by 1 cm across there are about 45 pieces in my bag, that's about 1p each treat!The 90% beef and 10% sweet potato is extruded into the tubes and it makes for clean, easy to handle treats for training or just - treats! I am pleased there is no colouring for that 'extra appeal' that some manufactures go for, hence the paleness of the product. The pack seems expensive - and it is, but surely a penny a pop for the good stuff works, it certainly does for us and I might just be tempted to try more of the range now, Five stars,JC
