If the punch actually hits the pit, and it most often does not, the hole is not large enough to pass the cherry stone. It made a huge mess!!

This cherry pitting tool is very poorly made of stainless steel so thin it easily distorts and bends as it is used. The slight arching of the handles toward each other will pinch the skin of the palm of the hand as the cherry is pitted. Another perfect example of 'you get what you pay for'. Don't bother; it's junk...

Both broke using them right away and I threw them out. Waste of money
