They're plastic, made really well, you don't have to worry about something falling off and getting in their mouth because they're one piece! The first day my 2-year-old grandbaby actually played with this for 5 hours! The second day she asked for them! They are big enough they can't swallow them. They're going to last a long time! You can't go wrong with this little set. Exactly enough for each finger and thumbs.

My grandchildren can sit and play with these for hours…..I started out with just a few…not knowing if they would play with them….I now have 3 containers of them…they LOVE them…they line them up…ride them in little cars…pretend that they are talking to each other…money well spent!!
