UPDATE(please read). I was originally very disappointed in these highlighters(still am cause the colors are gorgeous if they worked). I'm updating from 1 to 5 stars because this seller went above and beyond to make this right after I received 2 defective packs. My other purchase and final replacement are beautiful and work great and I love them. This seems to be a manufacturer error on those specific colors and not an over all issue with the seller/brand.I ordered this product in this color option as well as the pastel. Pastels are amazing. Love. These? Awful. I got them and 2 highlighters didn't work at all and 2 barely worked, I put for a return and they sent me a new pack(which arrived late) and still 1 highlighter doesn't work at all and 2 look like they're almost dried up. Don't waste your money. I wouldn't even order the pastel ones again because now I think it's just a fluke that they work.

Edit....I am currently working with the company to resolve the issue. Apparently, there was a problem with manufacturing and that's what has created the dried-out highlighters. So far, they have been very good to work with and have a replacement on the way. They did let me know upfront that there is a possibility this set might have the same problem but seem very dedicated to making this right. I will keep updating this review as I go through this process.I have been eyeing these highlighters and pens for a while now. They have been on my wish list for a very long time. I saw them on sale as an early prime deal for prime day and they were just delivered to less than 15 minutes ago. I was so excited to open them and get started using them for my bible study and ministry class work. Needless to say, I was EXTREMELY disappointed when I went to test them out and found out that 3 of the highlighters don't work at all. There is no ink coming from them. So, out of 5 highlighters, I have only 2 that will work. I really wanted these to work because I love the colors and I really like supporting smaller brands and companies, but I guess I will just stick with the Mildliner highlighters that I usually buy.I DO NOT RECCOMEND them in any way.

I really loved this Bible journaling pen and highlighter set when I first bought it. The colors are nice, the tips are precise, and the pens don’t bleed through the page—perfect for journaling.The first set worked great, and I figured it was normal when the dark brown pen ran dry first since I used it often. So I ordered a second set. Unfortunately, the dark brown pen in the new set was completely dry right out of the package. I requested a replacement, and the third set arrived quickly—but again, the dark brown pen was almost bone dry and barely wrote at all.So while I still love the design and overall quality of the set, there seems to be a consistent quality control issue with the dark brown pen. What made the experience even more frustrating is that Amazon didn’t offer Kohl’s as a return option for 2nd defective set. I now have to drive out to two separate locations just to return an inexpensive item.If the manufacturer can address the issue with the brown pen drying out (especially right out of the box), this would easily be a five-star product. Until then, buyer beware.

Bought in December. Just took them out the package. They don't even work. For a product to not have been opened, they shouldn't have been dried out. What a rip off!

Pens: the good- the ink for the pens is a matte ink and looks great on colored paper toothe bad- the ball point leaves spotty ink so it looks streakyHighlighters: the good- the colors pretty much match the pens and you can see different color text through the highlighter inkthe bad- half of them seemed like they were dried out at first, I left them upright with the tip down and it helped with some of them. They also seem to just be dry in general. They seem like old highlighters right out of the package. They do make a bit of a dry scraping sound at times when you use them if that sort of thing bothers you.Overall the set is great but definitely has some improvements to be made if you're really going to use them. They really excited me when I found them because I like using a different color for different tasks/subjects/etc. When they didn't work well I got bummed out about it. I definitely use them, but I just wish they worked well right out of the box and saved thie issues for at least a few weeks of use.

Love these for my Bible journaling! My sis in law also got some and loves them too! Some other reviewers mentioned they got dried out highlighters, and I did have one of this color that was dry. But the rest are perfect, and well… I’ve had them since the fall and the ones I haven’t used up completely are still my favorites. I just found another highlighter to match the one pen that the highlighter came dry. This happens sometimes when things sit in a warehouse. Will buy again when I’ve run out of ink in all of the pens.

On this particular highlighter set, they were all dried up. The pens were fine! I reached out to the company themselves, and they were SO KIND and helpful! They told me they had a bad batch of highlighters go out and they gave me some color options to choose from and sent me a 9 pack of highlighters free, and quick!! I just got the replacement today and they’re perfect! Great colors (I chose the Mint Macaroon edition) and they’re great! Thank you!

The coordinating highlighters would be great if they worked. The are all dry and do not work, light green and blue being the worst of the bunch. Big bummer. And who wants the hassle of trying to return??? Wish they worked
