Works well even after I dropped it!
My old blood oxygen monitor is getting a bit tatty now so was eager to try a new one.I'm trying to improve oxygen flow to my hands so I like to monitor it regularly. This take 2 AAA batteries which weren't included, so if you are planning to buy this you'll need to make sure you have some in else you'll have to go and buy some.Once batteries are in, you slip your finger in the slot, press the button and wait a second till it registers the results. It will give you your blood oxygen level percentage and your heartbeat rate per minute in bright red LED so not hard to see the results. After removing your finger it will auto switch off after a few seconds. Also comes with a lanyard to attach to it so you can hang it around your neck if you choose.I compared it with my existing one and it matched, which was a bit of a relief as when I was attempting to get it out of it's package it fell out on the vinyl floor, not even carpet to cushion it so I was sure it was a gonna. But nope, seem to work fine. Hope the batteries last a while, though be nice if someone developed a rechargeable one.Nice little sturdy monitor with no annoying beeps like my other and works well.

Seems to work, unsure of accuracy
This Oxymeter is similar to several I have tried in the past. They often do not work well if you have cold hands as blood circulation is reduced, and this one is no exception. I suggest warming your hands in hot water for a minute or so before use to get a more reliable reading. I compared this oxymeter to a more expensive version apparently used by the NHS. It reported similar figures (within 1% for O2 sat and spot on for pulse.) However the O2 sat value did take a little while to settle.On a couple of tests the O2 sat level did report as being dangerously low, but then reported a more accurate figure after a little white. Like all these devices, use them as a guide, not as gospel.
