Super Lube® Grease is a patented synthetic heavy-duty, multi-purpose lubricant with Syncolon®. Synthetic base fluids and the addition of Syncolon® micro powders combine to form a premium lubricant that provides longer life protection against friction, wear, rust and corrosion. Machinery lasts longer, downtime is reduced and productivity is increased. Super Lube® Grease is a NSF registered Food Grade lubricant, rated H1 for incidental food contact. Review: Great grease for the money - A great mid to lightweight grease. I especially like that it's clear and not as noticeable as some other greases. I'm not too certain about the longevity of how long it lasts? Have been using it in my course tooth ratchets, even some of my finer tooth one's, and so far so good. One major concern that I have is keeping the internals of the ratchets from rusting and corrosion, and this stuff seems to do a pretty good job (maybe not the best, as it's not specifically designed to, not a silicone based grease) of protecting the parts.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Do you have to use the grease gun to use this product? I don't have one, and was just hoping to scoop out the grease to pack my mixer's gears.**
A: It comes in a tube that you can insert into a grease gun but you can do what I did and just pop the black plastic cap off and scoop out the right amount of grease.  Take a photo of the gears before you start cleaning out the old grease so you have a better idea of putting in the right amount.  Cleaning out the old grease is a little tedious, but it is important to get the old grease out as once it starts to liquefy and leak, it will just ruin the new grease if you don't get it all out.  Qtips are helpful for the final cleanup.  After you have it back together the mixer will sound a little different at first, but after the first couple of batches of cookies or whatever you are making it will smooth right out. Hope this helps!

**Q: Does it fit the speedplay grease gun?**
A: Yes but order the small size tube the two or three ounce one not the large one.   I use this grease with the Speedplay gun.  Very effective

**Q: Is it Lithium Based?**
A: No it's not Lithium based, it's basically SYNTHETIC OIL based, has ( PTFE ) in it short for POLYTETRAFLOUROETHYLENE. They also call it SYNCOLON, claims to be one of the most slippery surfaces in the world ? Remember the non-stick frying pans ? They were coated with PTFE basically Teflon ? I use it on EVERYTHING EVEN MY GUNS, WHEEL BEARINGS, GREAT STUFF, FOOD SAFE, VERY VERY STICKY.

**Q: what's the production date of this product? it says 15048 B27**
A: I called the Synco Chemical Corp, 631 567 5300 and was told that the lube you are inquiring about was manufactured on 2/17/2015.   15048 B27 is read as the 15th year and the 027 day of the year, therefore, 2/17/2015.  B27 stands for the 27th batch.    This lubricant has unlimited use of time as long as it's in its original container.

A great mid to lightweight grease. I especially like that it's clear and not as noticeable as some other greases. I'm not too certain about the longevity of how long it lasts? I used this grease to lubricate the drivetrain of a pair of lawnmowers. The grease had no trouble flowing through the Zerk fittings and lubricating the bushings, axles, and drive gears. I used this specific grease because I will probably have a project in the future that will require using a grease that's safe on the gearbox of a kitchen mixer.
