Living Proof Full Volume & Root-Lifting Spray

This root lifter really works! I have tried so many and was so disappointed in them all. You can use this with a hot air brush (I use Tymo’s Airbeam and it’s fantastic) and it leaves your hair soft and smooth and a lot of volume! Pair it with their texture spray and you have great looking volume! Their stuff is pricey but worth the money. Their stuff is the best I have used on my fine flat hair. It’s easy to use and if you want your hair to look good spend the money.

Best volume spray I have ever used on my fine, short, straight pixie style hair! I love it! It smells great, non-sticky, and you don't need much to do the trick! Also, no build-up like other products. Thank you for this product! Karen of Fl

REVISED REVIEW - I am changing the rating of this product from a five star to a one star. In the CON section below, I mentioned that the product was not spraying from the bottle. I had to hit the pump 10 to 15 times before I could even get one spray. I opened up the bottle to transfer it to another spray bottle and realized why. There were two clumps of coagulated substance mixed in with the liquid (see picture) preventing any spray from coming out. I have no idea what it is, but I’m going to trash this product and order something else because this was obviously not produced correctly and I don’t want to waste money on another and find the same thing. PRO: This product does for my hair what it would never do on its own. I’m growing out my hair and I’ve been super patient the last 12 months. Now that I’m starting to get some real noticeable length, it needs help in the volume and “natural curl” department. I’ve got straight fine hair and today I came home with flattened limp hair. Fortunately this spray just got delivered today. I sprayed some of this directly onto my dry hair, about 6” away from my head, shook and quickly restyled and shook again. Caution - it adheres to your hair ***very quickly****. I used a wide tooth comb and carefully buffed it out, shook my head again and it freaking looks and feels amazing. In less than 3 minutes it was like I had someone else’s head of hair. No joke. CON: I can only get one spray per pump every 10-15 seconds or so. This bottle does not spray well at all. So I unscrewed the cap, removed the thin straw and ran hot water through it as well as the pump device itself. It helped somewhat but I may end up transferring the product into a different spray bottle that I know will work. I don’t want to send this one back and then have to wait for another one. I’ll deal with it, but well worth the money.

it's good stuff, but when I go to spritz it into the roots of my hair it kind of trickles out of the nozzle at first - that little spray nozzle gets easily clogged. it sprays normally again on the 2nd-3rd pump though so it's not that big a deal, only slightly annoying. I like the product itself; not sure it's as full volume as I had envisioned/hoped for, but that may also be user error ... I'm not great at styling my own hair, and my super-duper fine hair looks AWESOME as soon as I'm done blow drying it, but within minutes it's mostly flat again. sad face. still, it's a decent improvement over not using it, so I say give it a try. Fragrance wise: honestly I wish it were unscented, and although I know a lot of people like the scent, I do not. that said, thankfully this root spray's scent is pretty mild, so it doesn't overwhelm, unlike some of their other products (ahem... the dry shampoo, cough cough yuck). and Living Proof if you're reading this, offer unscented options, PLEASE. about its value for the money: I mean, do I want to spend thirty-some-odd-dollars for less than a cup of hair product? um, NO. but, these are the times we live in. so I suck it up, and buy what I must to look as good as I do (and I look good, baby). hahaha

A very good product: thanks to it, fine hair looks and feels quite voluminous and becomes easy to style; it can also serve as a setting product. I'm lucky I found it! I am using it about ten years.

This is of the best volume and of lift control product I have ever used

I generally really like Living Proof products, but this was a miss for me. When I used it on my fine, wavy hair, it felt really sticky and left a hard residue (almost as though I had applied mousse). Additionally, there was an issue with the pump (it stopped working after only a few uses). Not nearly as effective as other volume boosting hair sprays that I’ve tried.

This spray has amazing hold. It does start out a little sticky when wet but when the hair is dry it is not sticky at all. It gives hair volume that lasts. It is a little expensive but totally worth it. I have very thick coarse hair and this is one of the few products that works with my hair.

Living proof products live up to the hype. Use several of them they work. This is no exception it gives incredible body. Can make hair a little difficult to comb through so don’t over use. My only criticism is the application spray, the product is quite thick and the spray applicator is not the best.

I’ve used a lot of different products - more expensive and less expensive. This one really works great for my fine hair and does not feel heavy or sticky. I would highly recommend it.
