These pillows are pretty nice. I'm worried that with the pillow case cover it will get dirty and hold water too much it's velvety feeling and not the best for outdoor use. Overall, these are comfortable and the strap just buckles around your chair. It is a little too tight on my chairs that have cushions but it does fit just squeezes the cushion too much. But I just don't strap them down. They work better on chairs without cushions.

I’m not sure I read the description correctly, because I thought I purchased these to use outside for the beach. These pillows definitely could be used outside, but not at the beach unless you are very careful not to get sand on them or get them wet. The material of the pillow is that of a pillow you would use inside. The cover of this pillow is almost suede material, which would not be suitable to get wet at the beach, the light colored material can also get stained and dirty if you use it outside and are not careful. The pillow overall is very soft and definitely very comfortable. I would look into getting this just on the come for alone but please do be careful at the beach. You can definitely use these at home they provide support on the neck area.
