I have the SimPure underside filter system. It only uses two filters, the CF, and an RO filter. I live in southern California and the tap water has many contaminants, and in my opinion is not suitable for consumption, on it's own. Since installing the filter system, I am able to drink the tap water again. The RO, and CF filter control the amount of total dissolved solids to make drinkable water. It even tastes better than bottled water, because of the chemicals leached from plastics. The simpure filters are easy to replace. To replace the RO, and CF filter costs around $90. The simpure system says they should last between 6 and 12 months. For my situation where I live they last only the 6 months. I can taste when a change is needed. I consider the $180 a year for filters and investment toward my health, saving in future doctor bills. I recommend these filters, they work.
