Robust Airplay 1 streamer runs off USB power, with Ethernet and Digital Out
I mainly got this as I wanted a robust hi-fi quality Airplay streamer addon for my existing setup , that would output bit-perfect airplay by digital output to my external DAC. I didn't want to compromise on an old 2nd hand Apple AirPort unit. This is great, it seems fully robust, good wifi and ethernet connectivity to my network, not needed rebooting since I have bought it - always available to iTunes as an airplay receiver, seems to sound bit-perfect, no anomalies, noises, fuzziness whatever, just right.Although that is all I bought it for, for which it delivers (albeit slightly expensively), it also offers handy additional streaming services some of which don't seem to be available on, for example, my HEOS setup - iHeartRadio, XIMALAYER, QQMusic (whatever they are) in addition to many of the usual suspects like TuneIn and Spotify etc. (but no Amazon Music, sadly). But that's not what I bought it for - if you have been looking for a very solid Airplay receiver with both Ethernet, wifi, USB-powered, and digital out, then this, as far as I can tell, fits the bill very well. As I said it is SOLIDLY engineered every way I can tell. You get what you pay for.

Works intermittently which is no good if you like listening to a whole song
When works its good but the link 1 we have will play 15 seconds then drop off, come back on for 20 or so seconds later then drop off again after 15-20 seconds even though WiFi signal is strong on the unit . Nowhere near consistent, stream less playback as advertised hence 1 star. Would send it back if I could.

Past reviews over critical - works just like Sonos
I Looked for an alternative to my Sonos S1 system, no longer supported. I use Audio Pro Link 1 to link to my existing Hi-Fi, all amps plus speakers. Not the easiest system to configure, no hiding that, but once done all very familiar to a Sonos user. Note have to do so on a phone (oldish Android Moto G4 in my case) and I had to switch mobile data off so that only wifi was active. Once up and running, superb match with Spotify Premium. You can see all playlists etc and you can control from within Spotify on a PC as well as on your phone. Yup, Sweden can do tech!

worthless paperweight
I finally unboxed this item and was looking forward to use it to bring an old speaker in from the cold, but it turns out the device it doesn't power on, I think, as there is no power button and what I took to be indicator lights don't light up. Nothing on the internet helps, what with the useless search-term of a name ("Audio Pro Link-1", why not just call it "Input Pro Type-3" and then go look for "A. Smith" on facebook).Unfortunately I first tried to use this product long after I'd ordered it so now cannot return the thing. It's a paper-weight, and quite useless.

Works well.
I bought this to link my older Audio pro T9 and the newer Audio pro C5.It works well linking the T9 to the wifi enabled C5. I haven't experienced any drop outs in the signal, you can pair and unpair the speakers easily with the app. I'm very pleased with this , it is a bit pricey but worth it to be able to listen to music all around my home.UPDATE: Remember when setting up to open Audio Pro app go into speaker then Info and check the box for unit password and add a password ,otherwise you will leave an open Wi-Fi link to your home network.

It actually works unlike chromecast devices
I have moved to audio pro from chromecast compatible devices including chromecast audios due to disconnects and slow response times. Things I like this has ethernet and is powered by micro usb so poe can provide both power and network with a poe splitter

Extremely disappointing on hi-fi
OK, first I will say that I like Audio Pro products and have some of their AddOn 'C' range speakers as well as an A10. The sound quality of these speakers are great, even if the app does need a little improvement (it does work). I'm coming from a Sonos system that has become unreliable after 9 years due to a bad update (Sonos cannot help though they admit the problem - they simply offered 30% a £2,500 replacement). The Link 1 was a major disappointment. It connects and operates as expected and reliably, but the sound quality is awful. Now I'm running it on quite a decent system (amp + speakers around £4-5,000 but it is connected digitally via toslink. Now, as a software developer by trade, I would have thought the only thing this unit has to do is convert Spotify's 320kbps MP3 stream into PCM (digitally) - how could this be messed up? No expensive components required, just need to get the software right (that's been done by others for 20+ years). What is produced sounds like a 64kbps MP3. The "openness" of the sound coming from my iPhone's internal speaker sounds better than this in terms of clarity if not bass of course.I tried two units, both the same. To be fair, when I contacted Audio Pro they said that it's not intended to be connected to a system like this, but the poor quality can even be heard through a £350 Yamaha sound bar. Marketing does picture an AV receiver so this revelation seems a little poor after you've purchased. My Sonos Connect did the job perfectly. Even my Sky Q, Xbox One and PS4 can sound crystal clear through this system.Gave two stars as it does work reliable, just the sound quality that lets it down. On the plus side, Amazon returns were as good as ever - easy and quick.

Useless for me
Did not do what I hoped it would. My advice would be to contact company first to make sure it is what you think it is. Slightly misleading

Exceeds my expectations providing superb streamed audio quality
I bought this unit and set it up relatively easily two days ago. I'm really impressed with the clean natural sound I'm getting listening to jazz and world music from Spotify using this wireless link into my hi-fi audio system (Adcom pre-amp and amp feeding Dahlquist speakers), deep natural bass and clean, clear top end. I bought this to replace my Sonos Connect that failed after only about three years use, for a fraction of the price for the Sonos replacement. Now I have superior streaming audio through my hi-fi system again, I don't think I'll be making much more use of my Sonos 1 wireless speakers!

Recomendable.

A simple Airplay device good but with a few faults
I downloaded the apple app, found the device and then was asked to upgrade which took a couple of minutes. then tried apple music, spotify, youtube etc and all was good! Before I had a google chrome audio device and bluetooth device to stream my phone to my hifi and endless drop-outs. One appeal of this device is that it has an ethernet port which works well. Regards Wi-Fi connectivity I am aware of the other reviews and the manufacturers warnings that basically mean it is fine with a simple 2.4 GHz single band network which is a bit lame, but it doesn't concern me, however, I tried for completeness and no joy! My main gripe is for it to work well with android which it sort of does via the app but its a bit unfriendly and I can't always seem to get it working well in landscape mode. Overall I am happy because it works well with the apple but I wish the android integration would be better and the app design could do with an overhaul.
