Chicken Soup for the Kid's Soul 2: Character-Building Stories for Kids Ages 6-10

Great book!! We love chicken soup. My 6 and 9 year old enjoy. Even my 11 year old can gain from this book!As for children reading to self, id say 3rd grade (8/9yr) plus for this book... To be able to really get the messages.

I read it from time to time to my now 5 year-old. She listens quietly since there is not much pictures to look at, like other books. I notice, the stories make her think. Since then she has come to me to disclose a few littles lies and she apologizes. Thr first time she cried for her lie that she told me a few weeks ago. She broke something and blamed it on our cat. I never questioned it. Amazing lessons for kids. I believe the author wrote beautiful stories about values. I do hope the printing company will consider including more colorful pictures; I think it attracts younger kids even more. I highly recommend the book.

My daughter is 7 and she absolutely loves this book. Perfect for those readers who get bored easily. Every other page is a new story with a different experience.

I purchased this book for my 10 year daughter and she loved it. Every night we would sit in her bed and read a page. She looked forward to this as much as I did. In addition, we learned a lot about making good decisions and positive choices.

I absolutely love this book! In our family, we own several of the 'Chicken Soup' books. They are all just what they say they are. Our children love them, plus as parents we get to spend quality time with our children as we read together. We also love the idea that these books are exposing our children to what really counts in life - Love, character, integrity, courage, forgiveness. I could go on and on. Get on board with this book and the other ones in the Chicken Soup series, you'll love them too!

Bought this for my 4th grader daughter and I love having her read the stories to me and at the end of each story story she loves to tell me how she can relate to it and what’s going on in her life similar to each story. It’s great bonding and keeps me in on how hard life is now a days in the eyes of a 4th grade. I highly recommend this book.

I've bought several of the chicken soup books for kids and my 8 and 10 year old love them. The stories are great for bedtime, I read them off my kindle app. Theyre nice because the stories are very relatable, written for kids but realistic. I also like that they are not too long... Average story is about 5 to 10 min max. One thing I would love is more stories where the boy is the narrator or main character. Most of the stories are about girls or the author is a girl.

Perfect read for that age group

Great as bedtime stories too.
