5 Star pads! 10 Star Customer service!
Pros — I love the fastening system. Flybar uses the same fastening system for elbow and knee pads as they (and most companies) do for wrist guards. For the knee pads there are two, 2” straps that are part of the material that secures the main pad. These lash first. Then over them, you lash two 1 1/2” stretch velcro straps using pullback eyelet fasteners. This provides for a stable knee (and elbow) pad that has some flexibility, but does not flop around. Because of this system, you can put the knee pads on before or after your skates, and you can adjust them as you skate. Because of the fastening system, the pads are not confining, and they are cooler than the stretch nylon fabric and strap system (See *** below).Sizing. Okay, the chart included by Flybar is not of much help. I needed a medium elbow pad and large wrist and knee pads. The key measurements for fit should be circumference measurements above/below the particular joint. Here is my sizing chart for the Flybar pads that I have (approximate — if you’re close, go to next size up):Wrist Med: 5-6 1/2"; Wrist Large: 6-8"Elbow Med: 10 1/2 - 12 1/2" Elbow Large: N/AKnee Med: 8-11 1/2" Knee Large: 12-16"Bottom line: I love these pads.My Uses: inline skating and cave exploration.Customer Service. Out of the medium pads I bought only the elbow pads fit. I searched everywhere for a similar pad. Nothing. So I went to the Flybar website and explained my problem. I received an email that said call us. I did. No call waiting menu. I talked directly to customer service. They told me to keep the pads and they sent me large wrist and knee pads. That is customer service. Fixing the problem.5 STARS!***Most elbow and knee pads use a stretch nylon fabric and velcro straps. Personal preference: I cannot stand the nylon fabric because it is inconvenient, confining, and warm. Inconvenient because it has to be put on before the skate; confining because it squeezes the knee, calf, and thigh; and warm because it causes me to sweat. Then you usually get 1” velcro straps to go over the nylon fabric, but if you can’t stand the nylon wrap, then you just have 1” straps which provide loose fastening by themselves.

Good cheap option for thick thigh beginner
I am pretty happy with these. Yes they are cheap material, that's fine cause it matches their cost. I really just wanted a pair of cheap pads that I could learn to skate with. Something that makes sure I'm not getting too banged up while I'm just learning the basics. This was hard to find because I have giant thighs and can never find knee pads that fit. My upper arms are also kinda chubby and elbow pads I've tried before fit but not comfortably. I'm 5'3" and 190lbs. My thighs are 19" and my upper arms are 14" the large size fits me pretty good. There is probably enough room on the knee pads for a 20" thigh to fit relatively comfortably. If the top strap were Ionger you might be able to make it work for a little larger cause the sleeve its self is very stretchy. Get cheap option for chubby people who are just learning. Once I get better I'll feel better about spending more money on a nicer set but for now these are fantastic.

Wrist guards too small
The knee and elbow pads work great and for as expected. The wrist guards are too small. I can barely get them on my hands and they hurt my hands once they are on.

Knee pad is sleeve-style not wrap-see video
The media could not be loaded. I'm overall pretty happy with these skate pads. The quality is pretty good. They remind me of my old Rollarblade set, which lasted about 15 years. I'm 5'5" /150 lb and have large calves, so I ordered L. The kneepads fit perfectly—not too tight but also don't slip. The wrist guards are a bit large, but I can strap them over my hoodie sleeves and they work just fine. I was very surprised to find that the knee and elbow pads are "sleeve" style. In a previous customer's video they were "open" and strapped on the back with tabs. The thing you need to know about "sleeve" style is that you have to remove your shoes to get them on—and remember to put them on BEFORE you put on your skates. See video.

Fits, glad I bought
I am a 5’4”, ~145 lb woman. The large blues fit me just fine.I used to tear up the roller rink on blades, but inline skating outside is another ball game. I felt goofy wearing these pads, but was glad I had them the first time I fell, which was the very first time I went out. I scuffed up the wrist guards but my body skated away unscratched. These are made completely of polyester, so they make me very sweaty. I imagine there are more breathable guards out there, and I might upgrade if ever I become a serious about roller blading. For now, these are an affordable option to keep my bones together and my skin less skidded.

Sizing is correct & vibrant pink
My 10 year old has only had them for a day, and is putting them to good use. She has taken a few tumbles in her new skates. The quality is good, the pink is vibrant and not a pale bubble gum color which is what it looked like in the advertisement. After measuring her and following the sizing chart, I got her the size Large. Above her knee is at the high end of the size large. The sleeve is minimally loose, but she prefers to use the Velcro only because they make her hot. For sizing reference, she is in between a US girl size 14/16 (XL) and 18 (XXL), so roughly a juniors medium with some space. While she could use a Medium for her elbows and wrists, it gives her room to grow. I would recommend these to anyone.

SIZE UP! EVEN IF YOURE SMALL
Sooo i underestimated how big i am. I'm a 110lb 5'3" girl and thought ehhh im pretty tiny i can fit in a smaller size.... I was wrong. Very wrong. I thought it would be ok to get a smaller size so that it wasn't too bulky and i couldnt even get the knee one on. Just listen to all the comments and the chart bc it really is so children 😅😅 and I usually fit in things that is child sizes. SIZE UP

Great protection but a huge rip at the seam
My daughter has poor coordination and these have saved her from bruises and gashes so far...we're upset to see that after only using them four times one wrist guard already has a large rip.it appears to be a manufacter defect as there is absolutely no other rips or wear in the fabric.it is right at the seam.I hope I can sew it back with the fabric so thick on not sure I can.disappointed because for the price these held up good so far other then the one rip

The Materials are allergic to skin. DO NOT BUY.
These products are terrible. The texture of the materials are very rough and allergic to skin. My skin hurt and fell after only used once. Not recommended.
