Just your normal wooden sharp sticks. Its length and sturdiness is great for fruit sticks or fondue, the appearance is normal as can be and no splinters in the wood, very smooth so nothing to worry about that part. Although, the value for the amount of sticks you get is a little overpriced in my opinion. You can get it cheaper at dollar tree.
