DAP DryDex Dry Time Indicator Spackling, Pink/White, 32 Oz (7079812330)

This product worked really well for us. We used it to repair a hole our child made in the wall, which was about 1 inch in size, and the result came out perfect. One thing I really liked is the color-changing feature—it goes on pink and turns white when it’s dry, which makes it very easy to know when it’s ready to sand or paint. It was easy to apply and blended nicely with the wall once finished. After it dried, the area looked smooth and almost unnoticeable. This product has an amazing technology that changes color to indicate when it’s dry. It’s easy to use, easy to paint, and requires hardly any sanding if you know how to use a potty knife. It’s also easy to wipe with a damp sponge or cloth to smooth out everything and make it flush. Overall, it’s a great product that I would buy repeatedly.

Love how it’s pink when wet then the dry time is helpful when it turns white so you know it completely dry and doesn’t shrink . Saw many reviews that made me worry about receiving a cracked container but ordered a dble container and both were damage free and full. Seems to be a great product after use very durable easy to apply and got the job done had a crack on my Sheetrock and it sealed nicely, will be buying more soon !!

It’s great that it applies pink, then dries white when ready for sanding. I HATE doing drywall, but at least with this it was a bit easier. The consistency of the “mud” is perfect! You get a lot of it too. I bought my last bottle at ACE and it costed me 2x what I paid here. I didn’t think to check Amazon for this before, but I’m glad I did. I didn’t have any issues with my bucket arriving broken, or leaking in any way. I think maybe others might have purchased during a hot streak. The heat would make it expand in the bucket, and it would rupture. So, that’s something to consider. I bought mine in early October, with temps in the 60-70s. I also noticed that this blend was particularly easy to apply compared to others I’ve used. Requires less sanding that way, which is really great. Clean up is a breeze; water and your hands will do. I will not buy any other type from now on. This will be my go to. I hope my review helps. 😊

This dry dex spackle is incredibly easy to spread, and even a little truly goes a long way. This specific tub size is perfect for small projects like filling nail and screw holes or repairs around the house. It does a fantastic job with crack filling, holding up beautifully whether you are patching up small nail holes or tackling larger size gaps. Once it fully cures, the durability is excellent—it holds its shape without shrinking or cracking down the line. ​It dries fast, and the pink-to-white color-changing feature is a lifesaver. While it's pink, it serves as a great visual reminder to be careful and not accidentally run into it! That said, even after it turns white, I’d still recommend giving it a few days to fully cure before touching or sanding it. ​My only real warning (more of a reminder to be mindful than a true complaint) is about the lid. You must ensure the lid is on completely tight. If you have a hammer, utilize it to seal the edges just like you would with a paint can. If you don't get a perfect seal, the leftovers will dry up on you or turn into a strange consistency that makes it much harder to use and spread next time. ​Overall, it's a reliable, durable product that gets the job done well!

This went on smoothly and clung to the wall nicely 😊. I made the mistake of buying “light weight “ spackling in the past… wants to clump. Sticks to itself but not the wall. When you try to spread the stuff, it comes loose from the wall. 🫩. This is very easy to work with and the color change is a bonus. It’s white when dry! I saw a review complaining that it dried yellowish pink. They also said dried soft.. DUH 🙄 still wet….

Good product. Just what I needed. Works inside and outside for small sparkling. Good price too.
