My experience with the Anker 533 Power Bank (no built in cord version)
***UPDATE - replacement battery after 2 weeks***Anker reached out shortly after my review and asked if they could offer a refund or replacement because I wasn't very happy with my original battery. I opted for a replacement because I really wanted a functioning batter with these features after all. After about a week I had a new charger in hand. The first thing I noticed was that the battery still was at 0% charge out of the box. It charged much faster for it's initial charge than the original battery I had. After letting it charge up I also noticed that the button worked properly and I could use the low power charge option as well. I'm happy to report that this feature works exactly like I have hoped and it's already been put to use a few times in the couple of weeks I've been using the batter charger. My phone is a Pixel 8 Pro and there is usually around 40% after charging my pixel from 20 something to 100. This leaves plenty of room to charge the ear buds I use the most a then some. The charging speed are what I expect for my phone and also for the batter bank. The display is really handy with devices that don't have their own display like earbud or flashlights. I'm super happy with the customer service and the battery now and will come back in a while to report on the long term usage of the battery.***Original Review***I will be writing this review over time. This is the first 24 hours:This power bank was an oddity for me. I've had other power banks from both Anker and other makers. This was the first time I ever received one where there was no charge at all on the brand new power bank. 0% is what I saw when I connected my USB C cable for the first time. It also didn't really live up to much of the specs at first either. The initial charge never went higher than 4.5w the entire 7.5 hours it was charging up for the first time. Another problem is that my power bank's button does not work. At first I thought this was because it had 0% charge, but after It was on the charger for 4 hours I wanted to see how much longer it would take. pressing the button makes an audible, but quiet click sound. Nothing would happen though. For me, the display only comes on when I disconnect / connect something that is giving or taking power. That's a huge bummer since two of the big selling points center around this button functioning properly. Aside from showing the LED status screen, pressing the button twice or holding it steady for 5 seconds is supposed to enable the trickle charge mode. I wanted to leverage that as many things like my smart watch and ear buds charge at much lower power levels that some batteries and even some chargers don't even work with. Major swing and a miss here. After the first full charge completed I was able to charge my Pixel 8 Pro quickly like the 45w charger I normally use with it. The phone only maxes out at 30w, and that it what I see on both the USB charger and the Anker 533 Power Bank. That's great and means that this is at least a step above all the other slower power banks I already own. Recharging the power bank was also much faster after the initial charge and drain of the batter. It didn't quick measure up to 30w charging for itself, but it was under 2 hours to go from 0% to 100% the 2nd time I charged it.All in all, it's a good battery, but because I can only use it as a "dumb" battery instead of the fully featured power bank that was described, I can't really give it more than 2 stars at the moment.I will update my review again in another 6 months unless something noteworthy comes up that I feel should be posted sooner than later. If I can figure out why Amazon doesn't like the video I took of the button not working, I'll upload that too.

Versatile and powerful
Works great and is a great size for travel. I really like the full color information display that lights up when charging or you can press a button on the side to get the status. I can quickly charge up my USB devices several times on a charge.I actually bought this to operate my YDS-120 for long practice sessions. It’s small enough that I can Velcro it to the back of the instrument. With the help of finding the exact USB cable for my application here on Amazon, I have a nearly perfect and visually pleasing setup using a more reliable continuous power source for days at a time. I definitely recommend this. Small but a little thick. Fits in the palm of an adult hand.

It's gotta say "Power IQ 3.0" if you expect it to work. Now with S24 Ultra measurements.
28APR24I just noticed this (see photo). Although the Amazon listing says it this thing is an IQ3, however, it's only IQ3 for the two USB-C connectors, but not the USB-A. It's (apparently) rated for IQ2. And, it's not printed on the nameplate. Presumably the superscripts on the "IQ" indicates the level of IQ. I recommend more IQ. : )24APR24Measurements using a Samsung S24 Ultra indicate you'll get about one and a quarter charges from a fully charged Power Bank. Here are the test conditions (see phone app photos showing what's going on with its battery):- The phone's battery was charged from 1% to 100%.- Samsung's specified capacity is 5000mAh. Although the app in my phone calls it 5050mAh.- The phone was purposefully left ON, but unused during the charging. Although turning the phone OFF and charging the battery would be a good (perhaps better) comparison, NO practical user of a phone would normally do this.- The Anker Power Bank was charged to 100%.- When the phone was fully charged the Anker Power Bank read 26%.The available aggregate converted power of the Anker comes out to about 6700mAh. Which is OK because there are losses in energy conversion, both in the Power Bank and the phone, as well as the extra power consumed by the phone (remember the phone was purposefully NOT turned OFF). So, in this 'best guess' practical scenario, it’ll give about 1.25 charges to your S24 Ultra.22APR24I'm charging a Samsung S24 Ultra. The first two Anker Power Banks I purchased (different models) were returned because neither would perform as expected, i.e. wouldn't deliver the expected power. I determined, after extensive conversations with Anker's Customer Service that I needed something that wasn't a plain ordinary Power IQ (there are multiple levels of IQ's - LOL), but rather an Anker Power IQ 3.0. Now everything works and Anker got two one-star ratings on the returns due to their sketchy listings.

Worked for 6 months.
I bought this on Nov 2024; I chose Anker vs many others due to the brand quality… It stopped working already, It doesn’t charge anymore (input / output).
