Could be a little better quality for the price.
For an outdoor gas griddle at this price, I had higher expectations regarding build quality. The cobbled casing around the pipes and valves is concerning.I tested by cooking some burgers, before cooking, it’s essential to 'season' the griddle to avoid damaging the surface. This involves applying a thin layer of oil to create a protective layer against rust.Once seasoned, it cooks adequately, though it takes time to heat up. Cleaning is doable if done while the surface is still hot, and it has an oil drip hole and tray for convenience. However, I noticed some sharp edges on the griddle, something to watch out for when using it.Overall, not bad at all, but needs some improvements in terms of build quality and certain fittings, but cooks well.

Could have been much better
For an outdoor gas griddle that costs just shy of £250, I would have expected quite a lot from it, mainly the build quality and the overall feel which leaves me slightly concerned and worried that it seems to all pipes and valves with a cobbled casing around the whole build.Nevertheless, given this a try at my friends garden as he's got a portable gas with pipes ready to hook up, we gave this a shot. So before you go ahead and start to cook on the griddle, you have to 'season' this, else you'll probably end up with a really nasty looking surface if you start to cook your eggs bacon straight onto it.I'll not give you the full spiel on this, but if you do get this or any other griddle, then do some research on how to season a griddle, which simply means you coat a thin layer of oil that bonds and creates a protective layer, preventing rust, something that others have suffered, simply down to poor instructions.Once coated, this cooks pretty well, but takes a long while to heat up, but great once up and running, and it also is easy enough to clean, as long as you clean it whilst it's still hot, which eliminates the need for deep scouring which would damage the surfaces. It also has oil drip hole and tray to help ease cleaning too.Over onto the build, this has some sharp edges, not deliberate or poor quality standards, but just sheer poor design, so one to watch out for when using this.
