Perfect - checks all my boxes
I've been trying multiple other popular water bottles recently looking for a good one and this is THE ONE.Reasons it's good:(1) fast to open, drink from, and close again with one hand;(2) easy to clean, no complex parts;(3) quiet enough that I feel comfortable using it in meetings, you'd be surprised how loud other popular water bottles are;(4) locks so I can confidently put it in my bag with my laptop and feel safe about it;(5) stainless steel metal;(6) insulated to keep my water cool.I only wish the 24 and 32 oz sizes came in the steel-with-blue-accent-color too. Contigo, new colors available when?

Love my Contigo bottle!
I'm a big fan of Contigo bottles, and have owned many different versions for many years. As for this particular model, I also have it in the non-stainless version. It's a nice sized capacity bottle, easy to hold, good sized spout opening, and a nice locking lid mechanism. It's also super easy to keep clean as there aren't any hidden areas you can't hit with a sponge or dishwasher. This 'chill' version really keeps my water cold, for hours, while my non-chill version keeps water on the tepid side...but still love using that bottle too. Contigo support is also terrific, as they do stand behind their products, having spoken with them only twice across the many years due to a broken handle on a lid and for a seal that somehow fell out of the bottle during a wash. Excellent products and excellent manufacturer.

Keeps drinks cold
This insulated steel bottle keeps my drinks ice cold for hours during bicycle rides. I've literally forgotten it sitting in the sun, and come back for it hours later and there was still ice inside. I was looking for easy, 1 hand operation with a lockable cover that would protect the mouthpiece from any dirt and splash. This fit the bill almost perfectly. The mouthpiece is always clean, the top never popped open accidentally, the lock is easy to use with one hand, but occasionally the push button to release the cover needs a second push to flip the top open. As for cleaning, the bottle is great - use a bottle brush - and the top has many smooth contours, but I usually let the top rack of the dishwasher take care of that. If you prefer a different top, maybe with a straw, or large opening, many of their tops are interchangeable. And they have a great warranty. This is the best insulated sports bottle I've found so far.

Leaks + No longer opens with one hand
I bought this style of water bottle because I absolutely love the plastic Contigo Jackson bottles, of which I’ve had many that have lasted for years (until someone melts them in the bottom rack of the dishwasher).I tried these instead for a few reasons. 1) I am drinking out of metal, not plastic. 2) they have a lock feature (although the number of times the Jackson bottles accidentally opened is borderline negligible). 3) they are insulated and keep ice water cold for longer and don’t sweat. One other notable difference is the handle - on this version, the handle is not integrated into the cap so it always sticks out some, which hasn’t been a problem. The most disappointing thing is the spring loaded cover doesn’t function well anymore and I have only had it maybe five months (and rotate water bottles so it hasn’t even been in use that long). When I actuate the button to release the cap, the cover unlatches but doesn’t open. It isn’t a huge problem, because I can use my face to open the bottle and still only need one hand, but it would be nice if it worked and I would be less concerned about it actually failing down the road. It is not just this particular bottle - I have two other colors of this style and they are all starting to stick.Other than that, it’s a great, leak-proof bottle! I appreciate that the part that comes in contact with my mouth is completely covered by the cap when closed and it is easy to clean (I typically clean it by hand, but once in a while run it through the dishwasher on the top rack to sanitize it).Added 9/22: after a year of part time use, the covers on two of these bottles leak heavily and the tops don’t spring open when actuated. A pin also fell out of one of the handles, but I was able to slip it back in and so far it has stayed. Disappointing in otherwise great bottles.

These are great!
I live in the high desert where it is often hot and dry in the summer. I always bring water and iced tea with me in the car and when I go on walks. I've tried a number of different insulated travel mugs and bottles over the years and these are my favorite. The ones I used most often previously were the 17 ounce stainless vacuum bottles with a narrow neck. My previous favorite travel mug was the 17 oz. GEMFUL Travel Coffee Mug. I prefer the Contigo Jackson because: it holds more, it's easier for me to hold, and it has a much wider mouth to drink from.I like that the body of these narrows a little about 1/4 of the way down which makes them easy to hold. They fit well in my car cup holders and in the bottle holders of my packs. I put a strap through the handles when I use these with my pack to ensure they can't fall out.I like the wide mouth (for adding ice) and I like the narrower but fairly wide mouth piece which allows me to chug. The locking works really well but the push button does not always flip open the lid. I think it fails when the pressure inside the bottle is lower than the pressure outside. For me this is just not a problem because I use a finger or thumb to flip it open. It's still very convenient.Several times I have left one overnight about a quarter full with water and ice. A lot of the ice ice was still there the next morning.I like these so much, I use them around the house now as well as in the car and on hikes. I have a couple of the non-insulated ones which are great for the wintertime but in the summer, good vacuum insulation is the way to go.

Actually does keep drinks cold for hours
I like my new Contigo a lot better than my old hydroflask. This insulated Contigo actually works and keeps my drink cold for hours. Doesn’t leak. Very easy and convenient to get a drink. I love the little handle for carrying it around with me.

Excelente termo
Excelente termo. Me lo lleve cuando hacía mucho sol y mi agua permaneció helada. Es resistente. Es un bote relativamente pequeño, pero yo lo prefiero así para cargarlo fácilmente.

Easy for child to open, easy to clean
I was having problems with mould in water bottles with straws and lots of pieces in the lids. My young kid also can't unscrew bottle lids well and also doesn't like having to keep holding a button down to drink like other contigo designs. This was a great option to deal with both of these issues. There is just a hole without a straw, and you just press the front button and the top springs open. There is also the lock button for extra security.Yes, you can spill it because there is no straw, but we only use for water anyway. No problem with nooks and crannies where dirt sticks. Perfect for young child.

The best features don’t work
I was so excited to order this water bottle. I did a lot of research and I have four Contigo coffee mugs so I thought this would be perfect. Sadly it is not. I was looking for a pop open lid with an opening about the size of a water bottle. I don’t like drinking water from a straw or a squirty thingy or those sippy cup type of pop-up, built-in short straws. So, the design was exactly what I wanted; however, the pop up doesn’t pop up. It requires two hands to get the lid open, so that was the first issue. The second issue is more egregious - this water bottle does not keep my water cold. At all. I fill it with ice and water and within an hour the ice has melted and the water is nearly room temperature.I’m so disappointed!!
