Great for Restoration of Antiques
Bought this to refinish an antique gunstock which still had traces of original varnish, plus numerous scratches, dents, and gouges. At first I was going to strip all remaining varnish off the stock and lightly sand it with 1000 grit emory paper, but then thought I'd try the product on the stock as it was...glad I did. A light coat applied with a rag and rubbed in blended perfectly with what finish remained, filled in minor scratches, and gave the stock an overall uniform finish - no darkening, mottling, streaking or other undesirable effects. Per instructions, I let it dry 24 hours and then hand buffed it out, finishing with a light coat of crystalline museum wax, itself buffed out when dry. It still looks like an antique gunstock with all the original scratches, etc, but instead of a "damaged" stock, it has a nice, semi-shiny patina very much in character with the age of the overall firearm. Excellent product, no "solventy" smell, dries in time specified, easy to buff out, and looks great. I'm definitely sold on this product for restoration work.

Exceptional coverage and wood protection
Easy to use. Covers well and leaves a beautiful finish to wood countertops. Water beads up and doens't leave a ring. Wish I had known about this product years ago. Mineral oil as sealer just doens't do a great job. Linseed oil alone is okay, but not great. This product has Lindseed oil and beeswax. Winning combination. Excellent product.

Fantastic item. Give it a try. You won’t be sorry
Great product! My wood yard items look better than new. Easy to use too.Unfortunately Amazon shipping was not good. Can was dented and leaked due to no packaging on top of the can

Safe For Food...
Tried & True Original Wood Finish is a great product, and better still, it's made in the USA. I had several cutting boards that were sorely in need of attention. Tried & True, which is safe for food and easy to use, brought them back to life.I recommend this product.

From a novice—this rocks
I have never done any wood finishing so I’m coming from the perspective not of a craftsman but somebody that just needed to finish a raw piece of wood, a tray in this caseI just needed it to not look and feel raw and to be a little sealed. I just took an old T-shirt, rubbed it on the wood as instructed, waited an hour and then buffed it with the same dry T-shirt, and it is an upgraded item! It looks like a professional finish and I am beyond pleased. If you actually know how to do woodwork you can go to town with this stuff I’m sure. But my lame self was able to get up there with y’all for just a brief moment and finish this piece of wood. Five amazing stars. It also has a nice smell. The application is very forgiving, if you go with the grain you don’t have to worry about streaks or anything like that. If you miss a spot you can just go back over it and then let it dry.

The best option for the non-toxic methods
I was making a shelf extender for my desk, and I didn’t want to deal with toxic chemicals given I don’t have a workshop and this popped up. I absolutely love it. I applied a thin coat (different than raw linseed oil) and it was ready to go after 24 hours.Great color, water repellent, and doesn’t take a week to cure like the raw stuff. I will be using this stuff for all of my wood needs.
