I bought this nut and it would perfectly on my ltd ec-256, if it would only be higher. with this one the strings touch the fret. can anyone help?

I had the exact same problem for my Epiphone SG. I ordered the Tusq PT-6061-00 instead which is higher and slightly longer. Had to sand it to fit but it solved the problem. I had to order from the seller's own website as Amazon didn't have the correct one.
