IMPORTANT: Your brand name and model number can be found on the metal tag on the inside of your fireplace. Confirm before ordering your Heatilator Fireplace Replacement Doors model number: E36, EC36, BC36R, BC36C. Please Note: Your fireplace must match a model number listed above AND have the appropriate existing pieces for these doors to install properly. You need: A top track Two clips in the top left and right corners of your firebox Two holes in the bottom left and right corners of your firebox Don’t have tracks and clips? Please check out our collection of high quality zero clearance/prefab fireplace doors. They are easy to install and affordable, without compromising quality, safety, or fitting. Reminder: Fireplace doors should always be kept open while a fire is burning. These doors are made with tempered glass, which can withstand temperatures up to 450 degrees. Typical fireplaces reach temperatures between 500 and 1200 degrees fahrenheit. If you keep the doors closed during operation you’ll lose heat, ventilation, and moisture can build up on the tracks. If heat from the fire becomes too intense, the glass can shatter into your room. Ceramic glass is designed to withstand temperatures up to about 1400 degrees, however the cost is 3 to 4 times as much as standard tempered glass. They will not fit fireplaces made by "Majestic", please do not order if your fireplace is made by the "Majestic" brand.

A: The doors fit perfectly on our E42.  The E and the El share the same dimensions, as best I can tell. You must have the factory door tracks for these to install correctly.

**Q: will these fit a heatilator dx42ai?**
A: No it will not fit the dx42ai.       These doors will fit only models  E42 and  EC42 only

**Q: What color are the handles on these doors?**
A: They are solid black.

**Q: I have a heatilator Mark 123 model E3036. Will these fit?**
A: No,  We don't have doors for the Mark 123.   (These replacement doors will ONLY fit Heatilator 36" Model Numbers E36, EC36, BC36R, BC36C)
