I installed these pickups in a Jackson JS22-7 to replace the stock pickups. The wiring was extremely simple and the standard pickup size allowed a direct drop in with no routing or modifications necessary.The pickups sound much better than $40 would suggest. The bridge is punchy, bassy, and puts out sound similar to a classic Seymour Duncan style PAF pickup. The neck is rounded and glassy with pretty excellent depth for playing clean tones or quick lead lines. I was originally planning to place a set of Jupiter 7s in my Jackson, however, these pickups do 99% of the work I ask them to and I no longer feel the need to drop a few hundred dollars on a more expensive brand name set.Overall, this inexpensive pair of pickups has greatly improved the tonal capabilities of my 7 string, especially as limited options exist at this price point. I wouldn't hesitate to order a 2nd set if I was to ever acquire another budget guitar that required some minor upgrades.

Makes a lot of noise, so I shielded the insides ... And still makes a lot of noise. I thought 'humbucker' ment bucking the hum? O well . Overall, the pickup sounds metal. Clean tone is ok. But it's noisy. IV tried many things to cut the noise, but nothing's working. Hi gain distortion. And a hot pickup.... Makes noise, but not this noisy. IV been a luthier for many years now, and have only ran into this issue one other time. But nothing I do kills the noise. I'll order up another type of pickup, see if it's just the pickup.
